Cixi TRADE (GROUP) CO., LTD was officially set up a couple of days ago, marking a substantial step forward in the reform of the commerce and trade management system of the Cixi City. Vice Mayor Xu Wendong was present at the inauguration ceremony and presented the name plate to the company. 
The establishment of the Trade (Group) Co., Ltd is an important decision of the municipal party committee and the municipal government. It is an important move to deepen the reform of state-owned enterprises, integrate quality assets and resources and improve the efficiency of state-owned assets operation. It is of far-reaching significance for optimization of state-owned asset allocation, cultivation of market entities and improvement of large-scale and intensive operation.

Tours to suburban areas boost

Despite the coming cold air on the fifth day of the Spring Festival holiday, many citizens were attracted by the praying and folk activities launched by various scenic areas to conduct tours to the nearby suburban areas.

The sunny day brought about more people and traffic to some major scenic spots of Ningbo. The 3rd Film & TV Temple Fair was being held at Xiangshan Film & TV City, presenting the tourists with original plays such as Qin Qiong Selling the Horse, shadow plays and bridge tricks, experience of wiring and explosion scenes. A Spring Festival celebration event was also being held in Cicheng Ancient Town of Jiangbei District. Tourists to Cicheng Town had the chance to listen to the traditional Yue Opera, to taste the handmade glutinous rice cakes, to experience such handcraft as window papercut, making Chinese knot, cloth and pottery wares, wooden toys and creative mud shaping, which gave the tourists a special flavor of the new year celebration.  

Cixi takes lead in establishing recycling system of renewable resources

It was learned days ago from the Jianshang Renewable Resources Recycling Center that the redevelopment of the center has been basically completed. The center covers 600 m2, complete with office buildings, storage area, parking lot and reception room. “The sewage from the center will be discharged via special pipelines”, said the leader of the center. Cixi has taken the lead across the country in establishing the county-level renewable resources recycling system. Six regional recycling enterprises will be established to form an industrial chain of circular economy. 
It was learned that Jianshang Renewable Resources Recycling Center is a center established at the Gutang Street by the Cixi Baotong Renewable Resources Co., Ltd. As the first recycling enterprise in Cixi, the enterprise will be responsible for the recycling business in Gutang, Kandun and Chongshou Town.

Zhenhai District launches flood control project

Zhehai District has recently started the construction of a new pumping station with an investment of 90 million yuan. The move marks the official opening of its four major flood control projects.

Xinhongkou Pumping Station, located to the east of Huibie sea area of Hangzhou Gulf, is consisted of four 2,000-kilowatt generators. All pipes in each generator reache two meters in diameter and allow a sedan go through. According to the anticipated design, the pumping station allows seven million cubic meters water, or the total river water storage of Zhenhai District, to be discharged to the Huibie sea area within 48 hours under static conditions.

"We can compare the pumping station as the head of a dragon and all rivers in Zhenhai District as its blood vessels," said Xie Ting, chief of Water Conservancy Office of Zhenhai District Agricultural Bureau. Backed by mountains and facing the sea, Zhenghai District plays crucial role in flood drainage of northeast Ningbo during flood season.
