Yinzhou starts 16 key projects

The other day, 16 key construction projects in Yinzhou started. Mingzhou Avenue is an artery that runs through the south of Yinzhou. The Dongqiao-Yunlong section of the avenue, 17.5 km long, has its total investment reaching 3.15 billion yuan. in 2014, Yinzhou will try to make over 60 billion yuan of investment in the fixed assets and in January and February complete 5.5 billion yuan of investment, up by 19% year on year.

Other key projects started include: No.1 and No.2 projects of the living quarters in Jiangshan, the 2nd phase project of Jinda Road, the Xincheng Building, the Yinzhou Section of the Dongjiang Dyke, the Beidou Satellite Navigation System Production Base, a project of Ningbo Being Advanced Memory Corporation, the living quarters for migrant workers in Shijiama, the City of Yintai and so on. These projects involve such fields of infrastructural facilities, business buildings, industrial and new countryside projects, with the total investment reaching 14.5 billion yuan.

Cross-Straits Qingming Culture Forum opened in Fenghua

The Qingming culture is the common memory of the people across the Taiwan Straits. On March 22, the 4th Cross-Straits Qingming Culture Forum, jointly organized by Shanghai Public Relation Research Institute, Chang Ya-Rou Educational Foundation of Taiwan, and Fenghua People's Government, opened in Fenghua. Li Wuwei, Vice Chairman of the 11th the National People's Political Consultative Conference, sent his letter of congratulations. Fan Yi, Vice Chairman of Ningbo People's Political Consultative Conference, Li Leiming, Vice Director of Shanghai Municipal Office of Taiwan Affairs, and Chiang Hsiao-yen, Vice Chairman of KMT and Board Chairman of Chang Ya-Rou Educational Foundation of Taiwan, spoke at the opening ceremony.

The theme of the forum is the "inheritance of etiquette and custom of China". Over 100 scholars and guests made discussions on such topics as the "role of culture in consolidating the Chinese people", the "inheritance of traditional etiquette and custom in modern times", and the "relation of the Qingming culture and local customs" and so on.

During the forum, Chiang Hsiao-yen joined in the tomb sweeping ceremony at Xikou of Fenghua. Some businessmen from Taiwan attended the investment promotion conference of Fenghua.

Prosperous consumer market of Ningbo

According to Ningbo Municipal Bureau of Trade, from January to February this year, the total retail sales of consumer goods reached 22.886 billion yuan, increased by 17% year on year, and 4.8 points above the same period of the previous year. Of the total, the year-on-year growth of the retail sales of the wholesale business reached 30.2%, and 10.5 points above the same period of the previous year. The year-on-year retail sales of the retail market reached 10.8%, 3.6 points above the same period of the previous year. The retail sales of the catering business increased by 9.7% year on year, 2.2 points above the same period of previous year. The retail sales of the hotel business dropped by 3.7% year on year, with the reduction rate lower than that of the previous year.

In the first two months, the festivals notably promoted the purchasing demand, as is shown in the increase of sales in the commodities of clothes, jewelry and automobiles. From January to February this year, the year-on-year retail sales of the domestic necessities reached 11.3%. The year-on-year retail sales of jewelry, housing, and automobiles increased by 14.3%, 29.1% and 12.1% respectively. Of the total, the retail sales by on-line shopping totaled 284 million yuan, increased by 95.9% year on year.

With the effective structural transformation, the catering business is recovering. Statistics show that from January to February this year, the business turnover of large restaurants amounted to 915 million yuan, and the year-on-year increases of the hotel business and catering business increased by 21.3% and 2% respectively.

Net income of famers of Ningbo exceeding 20,000 yuan

According to the updated statistics by the Ningbo Statistical Survey Team of the State Statistics Bureau, in 2013, the rural per capita net income reaches 20,534 yuan, 2059 yuan more than in 2012, increased by 11.1%. In real terms, the income rises by 8.8%. the growth rate of the farmers is 1.0 point than that of the urban residents, and for successively 10 years the growth rate of the farmers is greater than that of the urban residents.

Why the fast growth rate of the income of farmers? According to Ningbo Statistical Survey Team, in 2013, the income of farmers consists of the wage income, the net income from household business and the net income from non-business and the proportion of the three is 6:2:2. The wage income exceeds 60% for the first time. 

Another reason for the increase of the net income of farmers. In 2013, The per capita wage income amounts to 12,583 yuan, 1560 yuan more than in 2012 increased by 14.2%. The fast increase is indispensible with the training programs of farmers. In 2013 alone, the city increased over 10,000 agricultural professionals, with the total reaching 135,000.
