High-end talents start business in Ningbo

It is learned from the recently held Talents Summit Forum as well as the 15th Anniversary of Ningbo Association for Doctors that by the end of 2015, about 5000 overseas talents with doctor's degree have settled down in Ningbo for business and innovation. 
The soaring talent agglomeration effect of the city comes from its ever improving talent development environment. In recent years, Ningbo has been focusing on the construction of the comprehensive talent affairs brand of "blue intelligent valley" with high-end talents, innovative elements and entrepreneurial spirits. By carrying out such talent policies as the 25 new policies for talent development and the talent administration reform experiment zone pilot, building the leading talent attraction products, and accelerating the construction of such talent platforms as Ningbo New Materials Technology City, International Marine Technology and Ecology City, Yuyao Industrial Park and Ninghai Industrial Park of the "1000-talent Plan", Ningbo has attracted a large group of high-end talents, including a lot with the doctor's degree. 
Attendees of the summit forum also include Yang Fujia, Deputy-chairman of China Association for Science and Technology and Academician from Chinese Academy of Sciences, Xu Qunji, Academician from Chinese Academy of Engineering, and some municipal officials like Yang Liping, Zhang Minghua and Li Taiwu.

Large-scale winter job fair held

As the last comprehensive talent recruitment fair before the Spring Festival, the 2015 large-scale winter job fair was held at Ningbo Talents Market on the morning of December 26. 
It is learned from Ningbo Talent Service Center that at the job fair, 342 enterprises brought about 1686 posts with a demand of about 6300 talents, including such prominent enterprises as the Romon Universe, Jintian Bronze, Yunsheng Group and Yinyi Group. The top ten posts with the greatest demands are marketing and public relations, production, business, trade & logistics, managerial, administrative, human resources and secretarial posts, finance, audition & statistics, computer, internet & communications, electronics & electric appliances, hardware & machinery, architecture, and real estate

Ningbo to build new model for modern vocational education

It is learned from Ningbo Education Bureau that as a "window" of he vocational education in the city, Ningbo Foreign Affairs School has been invited to open a branch in Deva of Romania, marking the settlment of Ningbo’s vocational education model in a foreign country. 
To better serve the regional economic transformation and upgrading, Ningbo has accelerated the construction of the new model of modern vocational education in recent years. 
It has become a consensus for the vocational schools to produce the talents demanded by the market. With this guideline, all the schools have conducted their disciplinary adjustments to actively adapt to and serve the local industrial development by meeting the demands of the model transformation of the regional economic development and the industrial structural adjustment. For example, Zhejiang Business Technology Institute invested 150 million yuan to build an industrial research base in Ninghai County, and Ningbo Polytechnic co-built the Digital Technology Park in cooperation with Beilun Economic and Technology Development Zone and Ningbo Information Industry Bureau. 
As a major municipal project for the "upgrading strategy", the rail transit construction needs a lot of technicians. To meet the demand, after rounds of negotiations, Ningbo Education Bureau and the Rail Transit Commanding Office started to open the "rail transit classes" in Ningbo Vocational Education Center and Yinzhou Vocational Education Center in 2010.
Some enterprises even moved their laboratories and production lines into schools. At the end of 2005, Haitian Group invested three million yuan to set up a CNC machine tool center in Ningbo Polytechnic and officially launched the "mold CAD/CAM teaching" program, and in 2006 the group invested ten million yuan to build the Haitian Department Building. The cooperation between school and enterprise and the integration of classroom and workshop have greatly strengthened the students’ practical ability and improved their competitiveness in the job market.

Graduate Job Fair held in Ningbo University

Recently, the job fair for the 2016 university graduates as well as the 2015 Ningbo Employment and Entrepreneurship Service Month activity was held in Ningbo University, providing about 13,000 posts for the graduates-to-be.

In terms of the industrial needs, the major sectors include the foreign trade import and export, construction, education and training, catering industry, machinery manufacturing and Internet. The foreign trade import and export accounts for 21%, the information and Internet-related industries account for 19%, the construction accounts for 15%, and the fast consumable industry and finance account for 11% and 10% respectively. The posts cover such fields as the e-commerce, finance and insurance, import and export, e-information, modern logistics and cultural creativity, and almost all the majors of the universities. In terms of the professional demands, such professions as the administration (including business administration, logistics administration, and financial administration), international trade, information technology and machinery are in high demand.

To provide better service and related guidance to the graduates, the job fair invited five HR experts from the Grand Trade Group, Unilever-Qinyuan Group, Zhejiang Reclaim Construction Group, Ningbo Shenjiang Group and Ningbo Medicalsystem Biotechnology Co. Ltd. to form an on-the-spot consultancy team for the graduates on such problems as career planning, CV writing and interviews.  

To simplify the understanding of the different recruitment demands of different enterprises in the same industry, the job fair adopts a more refined deployment of exhibition. For example, the employers were classified into over ten fields (such as group corporations, foreign trade import and export, communications and information, and machinery equipment, etc.) according to their nature of business, to improve the recruitment efficiency.
