Ningbo accelerates urban renewal

At the 22nd China International Urban Construction Expo, Mingzhu Community of Ningbo High-tech Zone, Yunlu Bay Community of Jiangbei District, and Tashan Community of Ninghai County were successfully selected as excellent cases for the pilot project of “National Comprehensive Achievement Exhibition of Complete Community”.

Among them, Mingzhu Community and Tashan Community are two of the three national excellent digital communities at the exhibition, showcasing the “highlight” of Ningbo’s urban renewal to the whole country.

Urban renewal has been one of the hot topics over the past couple of years.

China Ningbo No.1 Sailing Team Settles in Xiangshan Sailing Center

"Xiangshan Sailing Day" theme activity was launched in Xiangshan, the most beautiful coast at North Latitude 30 degrees on May 19th, the "China Tourism Day".

Taking advantage of the Asian Games, Xiangshan has witnessed the rapid  development of "ocean+cultural tourism" and "ocean+sports". As the host city of the Hangzhou Asian Games sailing and beach volleyball events, Xiangshan is attracting global attention with its superior marine resources.

At present, the Xiangshan Sailing Center has completed debugging and operation, and has been officially approved as a port operation license issued by the port and shipping management department. This is the first port operation license issued in Zhejiang province.

Hemudu Archaeological Site Park starts construction

The Hemudu National Archaeological Site Park has started its comprehensive construction. On July 12, a real-life experience tour of Hemudu culture was launched at the Hemudu Site in Yuyao County.

At the site, the guide invited tourists to participate in “making black pottery items” and “building the railing style construction” by telling them that the wooden or bamboo column frames that rise above the ground can not only save the trouble of digging out the foundation but also prevent insects and moisture. The tourists can experience the “life of the Hemudu people” by participating in such activities as offering sacrifices.

“We will add over 30 interactive scenarios, including food gathering, fishing and hunting, and boat making, to fully showcase the living scenes of the Hemudu ancestors and further expand the exhibition space of the Hemudu culture”, said Fang Ding’er, Chairman of Ningbo
