After attending the activities of the 66th anniversary celebration of the founding of the United Nations, Liu Jianhua, an architectural engineer from Ninghai County, returned home on October 30. "As an ordinary member of the architectural engineering, I'm so honored to have the chance to attend such a special celebration party." Liu Jianhua still felt excited when speaking of his travel to the United States and his experience in the celebration.

It is reported that altogether six people in China are invited to attend the celebrating activities, and they come from the fields of laws, literature and art, architecture and environmental protection. Liu Jianhua is the only representative from Zhejiang Province. During his stay in the headquarters of UN, Liu attended the forum of "wealth and culture exchange between the East and the West". Besides, he was made an honorary citizen of Corona, a city near Los Angeles.

Liu Jianhua was born in the Yuelong Street neighborhood in Ninghai County, and he began his career from being a builder in Ninghai Housing Committee at the end of 1960s. While being an apprentice, he endeavored to perfect his skills and often made careful study and investigation. He was conferred an honorary title of "Pride of China" and selected among the "outstanding contributors in China". His paper about the rigid waterproof roof, which is written according to his own practice, is affirmed by related experts. At present, Liu Jianhua, who has retired, is applying for the patent for his technology of rigid waterproof roof, in the hope of further promoting this advanced technology

On the afternoon of October 28, the signing ceremony of Ningbo Digital Media Industrial Park entering into the New Town of Yinzhou District was held in Sofitel Hotel. The signing of the project by Ningbo Daily Newspaper Group and the Developing and Constructing Administration Committee of the New Town of Yinzhou District marked the start of the construction of the Digital Media Industrial Park with an investment of about 600 million yuan. In three years' time, there will emerge in the South Business Zone of Yinzhou District a new 20-acre Industrial Park for digital media enterprises with a total building area of 60,000 square meters, which will surely become the new industry leader of South Ningbo.

How to enlarge the scale of digital media industry in Ningbo and produce a batch of new high-tech enterprises to lead the development of Ningbo digital media industry is one of the most important projects of the Ningbo smart city construction. After a lot of researches and surveys, Ningbo Daily Newspaper Group reached an agreement with the Government of Yinzhou District to establish the Industrial Park in the New Town and build it into a digital media platform with a great influence in East China and even in the whole China.

100 headhunting institutes attracting talents for Yinzhou District

The other day, about 100 headhunting institutes inside and outside Zhejiang Province gathered in Yinzhou District to help local enterprises to attract and introduce talents. This is the first time for the District to invite so many talent intermediary institutes to come to promote the transformation and upgrading of enterprises and help them tackle the problem of attracting talents.

This activity involving the 100 human resources service institutes also aroused a great attention among the enterprises in Yinzhou District, and 72 of them participate in the related negotiations. The institutes are informed of the new supporting policies for the development of the human resources service industry, which came out at the end of August. Sponsored by Ningbo municipal education Bureau, Ningbo Adult Education Association and Ningbo Community University, the 6th "Ningbo All-people Learning Week" was launched by the Education Department of Jiangbei District.

The purpose of the All-people Lifelong Learning Week is to encourage the citizens to engage in learning and improve their overall quality. In the past few years, Ningbo has made remarkable progress in the field of adult education and community education. Up to present, Haishu District, Yinzhou District and Jiangdong District have been selected as national demonstration zones for community education, while Jiangbei District, Cixi City and Beilun District have been selected as national experiment zones for community education. Besides, there are now 54 provincial demonstration schools for adult cultural and technical education in Ningbo. The adult education in Ningbo has transferred from the stage of diploma education to that of lifelong education. The lifelong education system, composed of the four levels of municipality, county, town or street and village or community, and four sub-systems of schools, sectors, communities and networks, has been established in Ningbo.

It is reported that during the Week, some special activities will be held, such as 100 lifelong learners going down to the grass-roots level, 1000 adult education counselors visiting communities and 10000 citizens attending classes.
