Hang-Yong Passenger Line to open this year

In 2012, Ningbo invested 18.18 billion yuan in traffic infrastructure, completing a number of traffic projects like Xiangshan Bridge and its extensions. According to a meeting on traffic of Ningbo, in 2013, the city plans to put 18.18 billion yuan in traffic infrastructure, building 200 kilometers of roads and 65.5 kilometers of railways.

At the meeting, Ningbo Headquarters of Railways Construction said that the Hang-Yong Passenger Line has passed the static testing and will go on for joint testing. The Zhuangqiao Station is basically completed. The principal part of Yuyaobei Station has been completed. The line is expected to open in this year.

A related authority of the railway department said Hang-Yong Passenger Line will link Ningbo to the national high-speed railway network. Ningbo will increase 50 pairs of passenger trains and the number of passengers trains will be increased to 86 pairs, for the convenience of the passengers.

Ningbo released action plan for traffic jam solution

Ningbo has a population of about 10 million and about 12 million automobile vehicles. Today it has succumbed to the city disease of traffic jam.

The other day, Ningbo Municipal Government officially released "Ningbo Action Plan for Solution of Urban Traffic Jam", a decision made in the 16th executive meeting of Ningbo Municipal Government.

According to the plan, The guideline for the solution of urban traffic jam should be "people foremost" aiming to solve the traffic problem for the people. The plan sets up four fundamental principles: priority of public traffic, appropriate control of cars, encouragement of slow traffic, and optimization of the urban layout. The plan outlines "six actions": to improve the traffic network, to improve the public traffic facilities, to improve the facilities for slow traffic, to improve the parking conditions, to optimize traffic administration, and to strengthen the control of number of cars. With the implement of the plan, the city aims to basically solve the traffic jam problem before 2017 forming a good urban traffic system with orderly, smooth, safe, comfortable and harmonious traffic conditions.

Ningbo to take measures to promote export

On January 17, Ningbo Branch of China Export Credit Insurance Company held a press conference about the policies of export credit insurance for 2013. According to the meeting, in 2013, the company will take ten measures to increase its export credit insurance by at least 10% year on year so as to give credit insurance to exports of over 14 billion US dollars.

Related statistics shows that in 2012, Ningbo Branch of China Export Credit Insurance Company gives credit insurance to exported goods of Ningbo valuing 12.68 billion US dollars, increased by 34% year on year, and covering over 25% of the export of the general trading. Over 2,200 enterprises participated in insurance, accounting for about 20% of the total.

The minimum wage in Ningbo area raised to 1,470 yuan a month

According to Ningbo Municipal Bureau of Labor and Social Security, Ningbo Municipal Government issued the "Notice of Revision of Minimum Wages of Ningbo". According to the Notice, from January 1 on, the minimum monthly wage in Ningbo rise to 1,470 yuan, 1,310 yuan and 1,200 yuan. With the rise of the minimum wages, the payment for the social insurance should be accordingly adjusted.

A related person of Ningbo Bureau of Human Resources and Social Security said that The minimum wage system started in 1994. In the past 18 years, Ningbo has adjusted the minimum wage standards for 13 times and the hourly wages for non-fulltime work have also been on the steady rise.

CPI up by 1.7% in 2012

A survey released on 11th by the Survey Office of the National Bureau of Statistics in Ningbo shows that CPI in December increases by 1.7% over the same period of last year, 0.2% more than that of November and the largest one since last June. In aggregate, CPI of Ningbo grows at 1.7%, lower than the national level of 2.6%.

The CPI increase of 0.5% in December is due to the seasonal increase of food prices.

Food price increases by 2.0% on a monthly basis. Because of the cold weather, prices of marine and aquatic products, vegetables and fruits rise obviously in December, bringing food prices higher. Prices of vegetables grow by 6.9% despite continuous decrease in the previous three months. Prices of fish grow by 5.1% and that of shrimps and crabs by 14.5%. Prices of fruits increase at 1.7%. Prices of pork, eggs, milk and dairy products increase by 3.3%, 2.3% and 1.7% respectively.
