It's learned from Beilun Transportation Bureau on Nov. 9 that the phase ‖of Metro Line 1 is to be open in the first half of 2016. Beilun plans to adjust 25 bus lines and add 7 bus lines to optimize the public transportation in Beilun.
The adjustments will mainly be based on the distributions of the Metro Line 1 stations, aiming to utilize the functions of buses to their limits. Meanwhile, the phase ‖of Metro Line 1 will make it more convenient for the residents in Beilun and Ningbo. So, the terminuses of many intercity bus lines will be settled at the Metro Line stations.
The No. 750 bus used to leave for Ningbo Railway Station from the east of Ningbo Free Trade Zone, and after the adjustments, its terminus will be Donghuan South Road Station; the No. 758 bus used to leave for Panhuo Viaduct Station from the Baifeng Jetty Station, and after the adjustments, its terminus will be Changjiang Road Station; the No. 759 bus used to leave for Ningbo East Bus Station from Guoju Bus Station, and after the adjustments, its terminus will be Donghuan South Road Station; the No. 790 bus used to leave for Ningbo East Bus Station from Meishan Bus Station, and after the adjustments, its terminus will be Wuga Station.
Some of the urban lines in Beilun also add stations to connect the downtown with the Metro Line. For example, No. 703-4 adds Songhua Road Station and No. 704, No. 710 and No. 728 add Changjiang Road Station.
According to the plan, Beilun will add 7 bus lines and all of them will leave from the stations of Metro Line 1. These lines are as follows: West Bus Station to Changjiang Road Station, Songhua Road Station to Songhua Ring Road Station, Wuga Station to Changjiang Road Station and Songhua Road Station to Daxie Bus Station.
Apart from the above 4 bus lines, there are also three night lines. The terminuses of these night lines are Daxie, Guju and Meishan respectively. So, this will make it possible and convenient for the residents in Daxie, Guoju, Baifeng, Chunxiao and Meishan to come home after enjoying their night-life.

The 2015 Ningbo Week in Wuhan was officially launched on the morning of November 4. Reportedly, the event consists of 14 theme activities, involving such fields as talent introduction, college-government cooperation, electronics, auto, tourism, culture, intelligent manufacturing and port logistics.
It has become much easier for Ningbo citizens to have a trip to Wuhan. At the tourism promotion meeting, the activity "1000 people visiting the other city" was launched. In the following three months, by visiting the other city, the citizens from the two cities can enjoy the different cultures and landscapes. According to Yao Zhenyu, a person in charge from Ningbo Taikang International Tourist Agency, if Ningbo citizens are interested, they can enjoy the three-day package tour to Wuhan with the price of about 1800 yuan, including such famous scenic spots as the Tower of Yellow Crane, Guiyuan Temple and the East Lake. Reportedly, the package tour price is 400 to 500 yuan cheaper than the market price.
At the docking and negotiation meeting for electronics and auto industry, 16 electronic information enterprises (including Kaiyao Lighting, Xinrong Electronics, and Zhongce Electronics) and 12 auto parts enterprises (including Donghai Rubber, Jingcheng Car and Shenglong Auto Power) in Ningbo conducted docking with related enterprises in Wuhan. Ningbo Electronic Information Association signed a cooperation agreement with the School of Power and Mechanical Engineering of Wuhan University, in the hope of carrying out cooperation in technological support and transfer, scientific projects, and talent exchange.
As a port city, Ningbo may cooperate with Wuhan in the sea-river transport and shipping services. At the promotion meeting, Wuhan Port Group and Hubei Yufeng Terminal Development Co. Ltd. signed the preliminary agreement with Ningbo Port Group, and Wuhan Ship Trading Center and Ningbo Shipping Exchange also reached an agreement intention. There has been a tradition for the two cities in cooperation. For example, in August 2014, Wuhan Iron and Steel Group invested in the iron ore transfer terminal of the Liangtan Island of Zhoushan, the largest iron ore transfer terminal in China, in cooperation with Ningbo Port Group and Zhejiang Herun Group. The project has been put into use so far and has realized the seamless docking for the sea-river transport.
