Economic report of Ningbo in the first quarter this year

On the morning of April 24, Ningbo Municipal Government held a press conference, at which Tang Bosheng, Director of Ningbo Statistics Bureau, made a report of the economic operation in the first quarter this year. In the three months, the GDP amounts to 138.41 to billion yuan, increased by 8.3% over the same period of last year, calculated by comparable price. The growth rates were respectively 1.3 points and 0.5 points on the yearly base.

Of the industries, the added value of the first industry reaches 4.75 billion yuan, increased by 2.9% year on year. The added value of the secondary industry reaches 75.19 billion yuan, increased by 8.4% year on year. The added value of the tertiary industry amounts to 58.47 billion yuan, increased by 8.6% year on year. The proportion of the three industries is 3.4:54.3:42.3.

Ningbo's tax income in the first quarter increases

On April 17, it is learned from Ningbo Municipal Office of SAT that in the first quarter of 2013, the tax income of the whole system of SAT reached 25.949 billion yuan, an increase of 5.9%. In terms of varieties of taxes, domestic VAT reached 14.371 billion yuan, domestic consumption tax, 5.873 billion yuan, corporate income tax, 5.016 billion yuan and vehicle purchase tax, 689 million yuan.

Since the beginning of this year, Ningbo's state taxation departments have vigorously optimized the tax services, by making good use of the preferential tax policies to boost the city's economic restructuring and transformation of economic development mode, and the vigor and vitality of the economic development have been greatly promoted. In the first quarter, the city's state taxation departments handled export refund (exemption) taxes valued 11.301 billion yuan to help the foreign trade development.

In the first quarter, Ningbo's tax revenue demonstrates a significant feature of local revenue growing much faster than the central government revenue. With the pilot of levying VAT on originally tax dutiable items and putting it into local revenue, the increase rate of local revenue is much higher than that of the central government revenue, and the state revenue has made a greater contribution to the local finance

Ningbo Trade and Tourism Promotion Conference held

On the morning of April 19, Virginia-Ningbo Trade and Tourism Promotion Conference was held in Ningbo. Governor of Virginia State of the USA Robert McDonnell and Vice Mayor of Ningbo Hong Jiaxiang were present at the conference.

In recent years, the trade between Virginia and Ningbo has been increasing by 20% annually.

At the conference, Authorities of related government departments of Virginia State made introductions of Virginia in its investment environment, foreign trade, port industry and agriculture and they expressed their sincere welcome for the investments from Ningbo entrepreneurs.

Attendants to the conference manufacturing included about 100 people from the manufacturing, logistic and tourism industries.

Urban livelihood projects promoted

On April 17, the rebuilding project of Damin School to the east of West Ring Roadwas completed and it is expected to be put into use in the autumn semester this year. It is the first major livelihood project that has been completed in Haishu district since the beginning of the "urban construction year" activities. In 2013, Haishu district plans to spend 9 billion yuan in promoting the 50 major projects, with a social investment of 11 billion yuan in fixed assets, an increase of over 15%.

Besides the previous annual demolition area of over 2.4 million square meters in five consecutive years, Haishu District is to build about 20,000 sets of housing with a total area of over 2.4 million square meters, including public rental housing, affordable housing and resettlement housing. Among them, the 1298 sets of resettlement houses in Xujiachao Village will be delivered in October. Meawhile, 11 public service projects, including the Guang'an Home for the Aged and the district sports center, will be built and completed. So far, the major construction of the Guang'an Home has been completed, and more than 500 beds will be available. Haishu District Sports Center, with an area of 26,000 square meters, integrating the functions of sports, book reading and art gallery, will fill the gap of a large-scale comprehensive sports site in the district,
