Ningbo Zhoushan Port's Container Volume in the First Quarter Increased by 25.1% Year-on-year

China’s first TVIP unveiled in Ningbo

On September 28, China’s first terminal and vessel interaction platform (TVIP), developed by Ningbo Ocean Shipping Tally Co.,Ltd, was unveiled and going on trial operation at Ningbo Zhoushan port, which realized the electronic circulation of all tallying papers. As reported, it is the first terminal and vessel interaction platform in the tally industry nationwide.

As an important document to prove the completion of cargo handover between the shipper and port, tallying papers should be confirmed and signed by both captain or chief officer of carrier and ocean shipping tally staffs, which was the only shortcoming of zero-contact for shipping tally under the new circumstance of regular overseas epidemic prevention and control.

Ningbo Zhoushan Port's railway freight volume hits a new monthly high

With the recovery of the port, the business of Ningbo Zhoushan Port's iron ore and container sea-rail combined transportation business is growing. Ningbo Zhoushan Port announced on August 4 that 2.29 million tons of the railway freight volume was completed in July, a year-on-year increase of 22%, setting a new monthly record.

In response to the impact of heavy rainfall in parts of the south and the obstruction of traditional waterways and road freight, Ningbo Zhoushan Port actively communicated with Shanghai Railway Bureau Dispatching Office and Ningbo Train Depot to grab iron ore shipments and help relevant steel mills to stabilize the supply of goods. In July, the railway transport volume of iron ore was 920,000 tons, a year-on-year increase of 25.4%. At the same time, in order to meet the demand for electricity and coal in the “peak summer”, the business of “transit to railway” for coal at Ningbo Zhoushan Port has been upgraded from “daily shifts” to “2 days 3 shifts” starting in July, and coal freight has developed steadily.

Ningbo committed to creating port logistics "Alibaba"

The relevant government departments also provide guidance services for enterprises, and strive to let enterprises "run only once at most" and complete the relevant qualification review and license issuance work as soon as possible.  

Ningbo's transportation industry is interdependent with the port, which makes the market demand closely related to the trade cycle and shipping schedule, resulting in no vehicles in the peak season and idle vehicles in the off-season. Even if some platforms want to meet the market needs through self-purchased vehicles, they are worried that the cost will be too high when they are idle in the off-season. The second is the platform's advance investment. In the transportation market, as the cargo owner of Party A, there is a convention of "one settlement in 3 months " in the accounting period, and the operating costs of vehicles always exist.  

The construction and development of the platform requires a lot of capital support. In addition, although the tax department allows the platform to issue value-added tax invoices, it is often difficult for franchised individual drivers to provide a deductible basis, resulting in increased operating costs for the platform.
