“Smiling in Ningbo, Sailing in the Asian Games”: The 100-day Countdown to the Asian Games Was Held

The Asian Games grand event entered the 100-day countdown yesterday, and this newspaper will open a special column “'Ningbo' embraces the Asian Games” today.

On the evening of the 15th, the theme evening of “Smiling in Ningbo, Sailing in the Asian Games” was held at the Xiangshan Asian Sail Center in Ningbo to welcome the 100-day countdown to the Asian Games.
As the main summer event of the 2023 Ningbo Citizen Culture and Art Festival, this evening party integrates inspiration, chorus, song and dance, piano, electroacoustic band, fashion sports show, sailing, drone and other forms of expression, and shows Ningbo's cultural heritage, cultural temperament and urban spirit with programs full of local characteristics and youthful vitality, highlighting the open, fashionable and international style of Hong Kong city to the world.
In the earth-shaking drums and the high and agitated trumpet, the Asian Games Gala kicked off. Through the three chapters of “Maritime Silk Road”, “Oriental Grand Port” and “Asian Games Era”, Ningbo's journey from Haisi Ancient Port to Oriental Port to the Asian Games era, from fishing boats to ships to sailing ships.
The evening party has successively staged more than ten wonderful programs such as the situational music and painting “Totem of Civilization”, the dance “New Fishing Light Song”, the lead singer and chorus “Manjiang Hong”, the music scene show “Dream Radiance”, the children's chorus “Smiling Ningbo”, the 100-person pipa ensemble “Happy Festival”, the international friends performance “The Sea in the Heart”, the fashion sports show “To the Mountains and Seas”, the drone performance “Smiling Ningbo Sails the Asian Games”, and the original theme song “Youth and the Sea”.
“Smiling is the symbol of our city, and Ningbo people welcome Asian Games athletes and guests from all over the world with an open heart.” Yan Xiaoping, the general director of the party, said that each program of the party has its own highlights, and it is also created around the important time node of the countdown of 100 days, such as the children's chorus “Smile Ningbo” performed by 100 children, and the pipa ensemble “Happy Festival” also used 100 pipas.
Yan Xiaoping said: “95% of the party's party is original programs, and more than seventy percent of the cast and crew are extras, including fishermen, fishermen and students, reflecting the Asian Games concept of participation and sharing by the whole people.”
As one of the co-host cities of the 19th Asian Games in Hangzhou, Ningbo will host two wonderful events of sailing, windsurfing and beach volleyball at the Asian Games with the most beautiful coastline at 30 degrees north latitude.
