The list of 2011 China Top 500 Enterprises was released on September 3. Ningbo has 8 enterprises listed in the list. 12 enterprises of Ningbo are among China Top 500 Manufacturing Enterprises and 28 among China Top 500 Enterprises of the Service Industry.

According to the list of 2011 China Top 500 Enterprises released in Chengdu by China Association of Enterprises and China Entrepreneur Association, On the list of 2011 China Top 500 Enterprises Ningbo has 8 enterprises, two less than the last year. Of the enterprises, Youngor Group ranks the 237th position for its operating income of 33.48 billion yuan, the highest one of the Ningbo enterprises. Ningbo Jintian Group, Aux Group, Grand Group Corporation, Ningbo Yinyi Group, Fubang Holdings and Firs Group were on the list in the last year. Zhejiang Qiancheng Investment is on the list for the first time.

In the Top 500 Manufacturing Enterprises of China, Ningbo has 12, the same number as the last year. Youngor Group, Ningbo Jintian Group, and Aux Group are among the first 150. The threshold for China Top 500 Enterprises of the Service Industry is 1.97 billion yuan, about 1 billion yuan more than the threshold of the last year. However, Ningbo still has 28 enterprises on the list, keeping its front position in cities of China. Of these enterprises Grand Group Corporation, Ningbo Qiancheng Investment, Ningbo Yinyi Group and China-Base Ningbo Foreign Trade are among the first 150.

A related person from the Development and Research Center of Ningbo said that on the Top 500 Enterprises of China 2011, Ningbo has not only listed companies and Youngor and Firs but also a number of transnational enterprises like Ningbo Haitian International Holdings Ltd.. This shows that the large enterprises of Ningbo are now on the way of capital operation and overseas expansion. On the other hand, the enterprises of Ningbo are in general on the rear of the list. Compared with Huangzhou, Shaoxing and Taizhou, Ningbo does not have one private enterprise with its operating income exceeding 50 billion yuan. Therefore, at the 12th Five-Year-Plan Period, Ningbo should make great efforts to develop large enterprises, so that we can have private enterprises with their operating income reaching 50 or even 100 billion yuan and that we can have enterprises listed among the first 200.

The society of young entrepreneurs reach strategic cooperation agreement with 8 banks

On the afternoon of August 28, the municipal youth league of Ningbo held a conference for banks and enterprises, at which 8 banks and the municipal society of young entrepreneurs signed an agreement of strategic cooperation, by which the banks will provide the society with another ￥6.7 billion in credit and financial support in 3 years. Present at the conference was vice mayor Xu Wendong.

In recent years, enterprises have been faced with the difficulties of rising financial cost and mounting prices and unstable capital supply. Many entrepreneurs at the meeting expressed the strong wish to get more support from banks.

To construct a more convenient financial platform for enterprises, the society of young entrepreneurs signed an agreement of strategic cooperation with 8 banks to provide in 3 years another total sum of ￥6.7 billion in credit and financial support.

It is learned that the conference is one of the activities of the municipal youth league to promote the upgrading of economy. The construction of such a financial platform is only a good beginning.

21 cooperative projects of Ningbo and Changchun

On the morning of September 1， the Ningbo Changchun Investment and Cooperation Fair was held in Shangrila Hotel in Changchun City. Bayinchaolu, Deputy Party Secretary of Jilin Province, and Chairman of Jilin Provincial People's Political Consultative Conference met with the delegation of Ningbo Municipal Government. Chen Yijun, Vice Mayor of Ningbo Municipal Government and Teng Jiacai, Vice Mayor of Changchun Municipal Government attended the ceremony.

On the fair, 21 cooperative projects between Ningbo and Changchun were reached, with the contracts valuing 7.456 billion yuan. Of the projects, there are 13 projects in industries, with the contract investment value totaling 2.196 billion yuan; 5 projects in logistics, real property development, steel trade and tourism, with the contract investment value totaling 4.92 billion yuan. Among them, the projects of the staple steel trade center and the East China Steel Logistic Center signed by Jilin Tonggang International Trade Company and Ningbo (Zhenhai) Mass Freight Transport Artery Port had their total investment totaling 320 million yuan.

At the meeting, Ningbo and Changchun made introductions of their investment environment and related industries and promoted a number of projects for cooperation. Ningbo Municipal Tourist Administration hosted an opening ceremony of its direct sales center in Changchun.

18 Ningbo enterprises listed in Top 500 Private Enterprises of China

On August 25, All China Federation of Industry and Commerce and CCTV announced the list of the large private enterprises of China for 2010. Ningbo has 18 enterprises listed in Top 500 Private Enterprises of China, and Zhejiang has 144.

Of the 18 enterprises of Ningbo, 4 are among the top 100. They are: Ningbo Youngor Group Co, Ltd.(No.29), Ningbo Jintian Group (No.36), Aux Group (No.45), Grand Group Corporation (No.71).

On August 25, the National Federation of Industry and Commerce of China issued the ranking of above-size private enterprises as a result of a survey. According to the survey, 114 Zhejiang enterprises are listed among the top 500 private enterprises, of which 18 are from Ningbo, ranking the third in Zhejiang. According to related personnel from the federation, another ten enterprises from Ningbo are actually qualified but prefer to keep a low profile and, therefore, are not included in the list.

The national federation of industry and commerce has conducted surveys of above-size private enterprises for 13 years. Enterprises can choose to be or not to be included in the survey and ranking is done acceding to the index of total income. The threshold to the 2010 list is ￥5.059 billion while it was ￥3.66 billion in 2009.

227 Ningbo enterprises with total income over ￥300 million participated in the survey of 2010. according to up-to-date figures, in 2010, there were 127,035 private enterprises in Ningbo, with a registered capital of ￥255.43 billion, constituting the major component of Ningbo's economy. Accounting for over 80% of Ningbo's GDP, over 76% of Ningbo's tax revenue and providing 87% of the jobs in Ningbo.

Of the 18 Ningbo enterprises in the top 500 list, 4 are listed in the top 100. they are Youngor, Jintian, Aux, and Yuanda Group.

A comparison with these "top 500" enterprises reveals that another ten Ningbo enterprise are qualified for the top 500 list but, for all reasons, did not choose to apply to be included in the list.
