China Innovative Design Summit Forum Opened

On the afternoon of September 20, the China Innovative Design High-level Forum 2014 China (Ningbo) and award ceremony of Zhenhai Cup International Innovation Design Competition were held in Ningbo. Keynote speech were delivered by Lu Yongxiang, former vice chairman of the National People's Congress, honorary president of China Mechanical Engineering Society, and by Mao Guanglie, the vice-governor of Zhejiang, and by Chen Zhongzhao, the vice mayor of Ningbo. 210 people from all levels of government departments, research institutes, universities and business representatives gathered for innovative design in the future.
Lu Yongxiang congratulated the winners of the contest and delivered a speech on Evolution of Design and Materials. He said that material science and industry of Ningbo should continue at the forefront of innovation with abundant opportunities of design and material innovation of the Internet age to enhance the design and manufacture of materials and services in the country, the status of the global industrial chain, thus promoting Zhejiang spirits and tradition and building Ningbo into a city of material innovation and innovative design and manufacture.
Mao Guanglie conducted in-depth analysis of the priorities, methods and nurturing environment in our province’s innovative design policy. He said the government intends to add 100 million yuan of funds every year, focusing on fostering industrial technology innovation, the application of new network technology products, design market cultivation expansion, and other eight aspects of the high-end design team building, etc., while the implementing policies on high-tech service industry.
Xue Qunji, an academician of Chinese Academy of Engineering, director of Ningbo science and technology committee of Chinese Academy of Sciences, Li Yichao, president of Academia Sinica BYD Academia Sinica, general manager of Shenzhen Luokeke Co., ltd., delivered keynote speeches on the Relationship between Innovative Design and Materials, Car Design and Manufacturing Innovation Status and Development Trend of materials , China's New Materials in Innovative Design Application and other topics.
