Haishu Entertainment & Sports Center to open to public

Haishu Entertainment & Sports Center, with Aike Culture Development Co. and Fubang Group co-conducting the daily management and maintenance, will be open to public at the end of November this year. It is said that this is the first time for Ningbo to introduce private capitals into the management of social public resources.
With a total investment of about 400 million yuan and a total construction of 32,000 square meters, the center is composed of such functional areas as basketball hall, library, reading room, fitness training room, and art gallery, and it promises to be the largest recreational and sports venue in Haishu District.
According to related persons from Haishu District Government, the introduction of private capital to the management of the center is a new exploration of management pattern for public welfare, which aims to guarantee the practical effects of the entertainment and sports facilities sponsored by the government.
Once the center is put into use, besides such public welfare jobs as free admission, renting concessions and physical fitness testing for the public, it will also host some all-people fitness activities and public welfare sports meetings. By taking advantage of its quality sports resources such as the basketball club, Fubang Group will provide characteristic sports training services, including basketball (such as the Bayi Fubang basket training camp), tennis, badminton and soccer. Each month, it will organize a theme public welfare event, featuring parent-kid sports. Aike Culture Development will hold such events as entertainment, training and lectures, and even introduce some concerts by famous singing starts.
