In the scorching summer, Ningbo Library has once again become a popular spot where citizens and readers can study and relax, and avoid the summer heat.
Ningbo Library welcomes its peak season in summer
Ningbo Library has experienced a peak in reception of readers and in book borrowing. According to statistics, with the surging demand for “study and avoiding summer heat” among citizens, since the beginning of summer vacation, the Fuqing Hall of Ningbo Library has received an average of 7,700 readers per day, an increase of about 74% compared to the previous month. Especially during the period from 2:30 pm to 3:00 pm every day, the maximum number of visitors reading in the library is about 2,000.

At the 22nd China International Urban Construction Expo, Mingzhu Community of Ningbo High-tech Zone, Yunlu Bay Community of Jiangbei District, and Tashan Community of Ninghai County were successfully selected as excellent cases for the pilot project of “National Comprehensive Achievement Exhibition of Complete Community”.
Among them, Mingzhu Community and Tashan Community are two of the three national excellent digital communities at the exhibition, showcasing the “highlight” of Ningbo’s urban renewal to the whole country.
Urban renewal has been one of the hot topics over the past couple of years.

With the continuous increase of international passenger and freight routes, the cargo volume of Ningbo Airport continues to grow. In the first half of this year, according to the statistics of Ningbo Airport Customs, the import and export volume of Ningbo Airport reached 12 billion yuan, an increase of 42.6% over the same period of last year, setting a new historical high for the same period.
To be specific, the export value stood at 9.36 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 57.4%. The main export commodities include components of integrated circuits, and audio and video equipment. The import value was 2.64 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 6.8%. The main imported goods include such fresh products as lobsters and crabs, as well as high-tech products like integrated circuits.
