Ningbo upgrading specialized farmer cooperatives

According to Ningbo Municipal Agricultural Bureau, Ningbo has started a program to upgrade specialized farmer cooperatives to help specialized farmer cooperatives to upgrade themselves in competitiveness.

According to the bureau, Ningbo has 1,900 specialized farmer cooperatives, involving over 400,000 farmers. The development of the cooperatives has helped to innovate the rural operating system, bringing changes to the former household-based system. At present, the farmer cooperatives still have some problems: they are generally small in operation scale; their services are not low in level and they are not capable enough as leaders of individual farmers.

Following the guidelines of industry-orientation, marketization and brand strategy, the program aims to improve production and service facilities, improve marketing, promote processing and circulation, and enhance the links in product classification, packing, warehousing, processing and transporting, so as to promote the integration and market competitiveness.

Ningbo to promote classified collection of domestic garbage

The other day, the Implement Plan for Classified Collection and Recycling of Domestic Wastes was released, which will be put into effect from July this year.

According to the plan, classified collection will be practiced in the six districts, Ningbo National Hi-tech Zone, and the urban areas at Dongqian Lake Holiday Resort. By 2017, the system for classified collection, transport, classified treatment and recycling of domestic wastes will be built in all central urban areas in the city. The system will be featured of the government guidance, enterprise operation and participation of the people. It shall be advanced in China, with the collection rate reaching 50%, the recycling rate 5% and the per capita treatment rate reduced by 15%.

According to the plan, The classified collection will be practiced in stages. From July to November this year, it will be experimented in Baiyun Neighborhood Community in Haishu, Baizhang Neighborhood Community in Jiangdong District and Wenjiao Neighborhood Community in Jiangbei District. From January in the next year the practice will be extended to the whole city and the classified collection system will be basically formed. According to the plan, by the end of December 2015, a refuse transfer station will be built in Haishu District, Jiangdong District, Jiangbei District, Zhenhai District, Yinzhou District and Dongqianhu Lake Holiday Resort

Chunxiao Bridge to start construction in August

According to the Administrative Committee of Ningbo Meishan Free Trade Zone, Ningbo Municipal Development and Reform Commission recently approved the "Project Proposal of Ningbo Chunxiao Bridge". This indicates the official start of the Chunxiao Bridge project in Meishan. According to the person in charge of the project, the construction of Chunxiao Bridge is likely to start in late August and completed in late 2015.

The total investment of the project is estimated to be 978 million yuan. It is a key project of Beilun District this year, as an important infrastructural project in the central urban area of the coastal new town in Meishan. The bridge is about 1.9 kilometers.

Thermal power plants of Ningbo accelerating denitrating program

The other day, the National Development and Reform Commission released the Notice of Policy for Promoting Denitrating Program for Thermal Power Plants, which specifies that from 2013 the policy will the implemented for all the coal steam electric generation units all over the country.

In 2011, China officially started to implement the pollutants emission standard for power plants, which sets the limit of nitrogen oxides emission as 100 mg/cubic meter for coal steam boilers. The standard will be in effect from July 1 for all thermal power plants. All the power generation units must be renovated before the deadline.

Before the end of June in the next year, all the denitrating program for the 5 power generating units in Beilun Power Plant must be completed and so will be the units in Guohua Ninghai Power Plant.

As the approach of the deadline for the new standard, before the end of June in the next year, all other power generating units in Ninghai, Beilun and Xiangshan will complete the denitrating program.
