The national instrumental art exhibition opened in Zhenhai
On July 20th, Zhenhai ushered in the second “National Music Cup” National Instrumental Art Exhibition, and a national music feast that passed through the millennium was brilliantly staged.
The 2nd “National Music Cup” National Instrumental Music Art Exhibition is a national art exhibition and exchange activity carefully created by the China National Orchestra Society. Since its inception, the event has won wide praise from all walks of life for its complete categories, large scale and high-end specifications.
This year, for the first time, this art event will be presented in an offline format, with plucked bands, wind bands, percussion groups and ensemble groups in Zhenhai from July 20 to 25, as well as a grand concert of outstanding players.
The event covered 14 national musical instrument projects, set up 15 performance groups, attracted more than 200 art celebrities as guest judges, and nearly 4,000 performance contestants competed on the same stage.
The pipa is a traditional Chinese plucked musical instrument with a history of more than 2,000 years and is known as the “King of Folk Music”. Zhenhai has an indissoluble bond with pipa art, which not only gave birth to pipa masters such as Wang Fandi and Wang Huiran, but also achieved remarkable results in the inheritance and development of pipa art. In September 2021, Zhenhai District won the title of “Hometown of Chinese Pipa” and became a “national brand” pipa art highland.
The landing of the “National Music Cup” national instrumental art exhibition in Zhenhai is not only an affirmation of Zhenhai’s achievements in the inheritance and development of pipa art, but also a recognition of Zhenhai’s successful experience in holding two sessions of the Chinese Music Little Golden Bell - National Pipa Exhibition. Nowadays, this magnificent seaside town has become a hot spot for national-level boutique cultural activities, with activities such as seal carving art exhibitions and shelf comic book exhibitions appearing one after another, which are splendid.
It is reported that in addition to the exhibition and the concert of outstanding players, this event will also hold expert public lectures, so that the masses can feel the charm of national instrumental music up close, and at the same time build a platform for the winners to display their style, and jointly promote the inheritance and development of national instrumental music
