Located on the south shore of Hangzhou Bay, as the only professional fishing village in Yuyao, Wansheng Village has 28 fishing boats, and fishermen in the village have accidentally caught and released more than 200 Chinese sturgeon in recent years. The Chinese sturgeon is a critically endangered species in the world, born in the Yangtze River and raised in the ocean, and the life ratio between the two is about 1:9. After entering the sea, Chinese sturgeon is mainly concentrated in offshore waters with strong interference from human activities. Therefore, strengthening the ecological protection of these sea areas and preventing pollution and the impact of marine fishing are of vital significance for the protection of Chinese sturgeon in the ocean. Since last year, Halloween Village has taken the lead in setting up Ningbo's first Chinese sturgeon conservation volunteer service team to widely publicize the scientific knowledge of Chinese sturgeon protection among the masses.
