Ningbo International Marathon will kick off on Oct 24

The 2015 Ningbo International Marathon organization committee announced on May 29 that Ningbo International Marathon will be held in Hangzhou Bay District on Oct. 24. The event, including entire marathon, half marathon and mini marathon, is a registered sports event of China Athletic Association. About 10 thousand runners are estimated to participate in it.
As the largest ever international sports event in Ningbo's history, the race, sponsored by China Athletic Association, Ningbo Municipal Government and Zhejiang Provincial Sports Bureau, will be hosted by the management committee of Hangzhou Bay District, Ningbo Municipal Bureau of Sports and Ningbo Municipal Office of Taiwan Affairs.
Zhang Minghua, director of the organization committee and deputy mayor said that the event is a good opportunity to present the image of Ningbo, expand domestic and foreign influence and promote the city development. It plays a significant role in Ningbo’s opening to the outside and its integration into the development of "Belt and Road" initiative.
