Professional confidence index of white-collar workers in Ningbo ranks No.4 in China

According to the survey report on the job hopping index of white-collar workers in spring by Zhilian.com, in 2021, an increasing number of white-collar workers in Ningbo believe that they can make career achievements in the new year, with the confidence index as high as 3.87, ranking fourth in the country, not only higher than the national average of 3.7, but also higher than that of Ningbo in 2019, which was  3.67. In terms of specific proportion, the proportion of confident employees increased by 22.1 percentage points.
The official data show that in the first quarter of this year, Ningbo's GDP reached 311.13 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 19.5% in terms of comparable prices. Since last year, although the small and medium-sized enterprises and private enterprises in the city have been affected by the epidemic, with the implementation of a large number of supporting policies and strong demand, the production of small and medium-sized enterprises and private enterprises has recovered rapidly. 2021 China (Ningbo) Grand Canal International Piano Art Festival to be held from May 4th to 10th

The Grand Canal International Piano Art Festival, sponsored by the Zhejiang Provincial Party Committee Propaganda Department, Zhejiang Provincial Department of Culture and Tourism, and Ningbo Municipal People’s Government, is a high-level event at home and abroad. The internationally renowned pianist Lang Lang serves as the artistic director. The main activities of the festival include the opening ceremony, the semifinals and finals of the Lang Lang Cup Piano Competition, the closing ceremony and the award concert, etc. The opening ceremony will be held on May 5th at the Water Square of Ningbo Grand Theater. At that time, ten characteristic towns along the canal in the five cities of Ningbo, Hangzhou, Huzhou, Jiaxing, and Shaoxing will "resonate at the same frequency" with hundreds of pianists playing at the same time. The closing ceremony will be held at the Grand Theater of Ningbo Culture Square on May 10th. Lang Lang will perform on the same stage with the champions of each group of competitions.

Documentary series explores cultures in East China

When the documentary East to the Sea was shot in Zhoushan, one of China's largest fishing harbors, director Huang Yu remembered photographers had to face off against the raging sea almost every day during their trips with local fishermen. At a recent seminar held in Beijing to examine the success of a cultural project produced by Zhejiang Radio & TV Group, which has spawned five documentaries including East to the Sea, Huang recalls the challenges faced in making the documentary. More than 20 cameras and eight drones were used to shoot the scenes, with several of the expensive pieces of equipment falling into the sea and being lost forever
