Cross-border e-business brisk in Ningbo

It is learned from Ningbo Port Administration Office that by the end of September this year Ningbo Customs had issued clearance for 6.2 million orders of cross-border goods, with the total sales volume of 1.41 billion yuan, 3.8 times that of the yearly sales volume of 2014. To be specific, the monthly number of orders in September stood at 1.05 million with the sales volume of 220 million yuan. It is reported that Ningbo is the first pilot city in China to achieve a cross-border e-business sales volume exceeding one billion yuan.
Since the beginning of this year, the cross-border e-business in Ningbo has developed multi-model import business. In mid-August, the "direct cross-border shopping" model was put into operation at Ningbo Airport. Thus, various kinds of models, including the direct post, the goods consolidation, and the bonded goods storage, have been in use in Ningbo. Recently, the cross-border e-business at the Meishan Bonded Port Zone has been approved and will be put into operation in the fourth quarter. The Cross-border E-business Park of Meishan Port, with an area of 2000 mu, will be the second cross-border e-business agglomeration area besides Ningbo Bonded Zone.
