Industrial agglomeration boosts "service in Ningbo"

For the first eight months of 2014, the executive volume of service outsourcing and the executive volume of offshore service outsourcing reached 9.286 billion yuan and US$560 million respectively, up by 28.85% and 45.12% over the same period of last year.
Just like many other cities, Ningbo has been generous in supporting the development of service outsourcing industrial parks. While unlike some of them, Ningbo has made it its goal to realize the differentiated development of industrial parks since the beginning of its planning. "The group effect of the dislocated competition has brought about a strong competition atmosphere for Ningbo." said Li Zhen, an associate professor from Ningbo Service Outsourcing College.
In early 2014, Zhang Wei came to Ningbo from Sichuan Province as a result of the strategic decision of his company. Now as the manager of the service development division of a cross-border E-commerce company, Zhang has almost completed the establishment of its branch in Ningbo. "Everything is progressing more smoothly than expected. As we are settling down in the industrial park, the supporting facilities are all in place." said Zhang Wei. The company has chosen Ningbo for the amiable environment here. "We choose Ningbo for two reasons. On the one hand, Ningbo has a solid industrial foundation. Ningbo has a long history in developing export-oriented economy. There are so many enterprises at the early stage of transformation and upgrading, and they need professional enterprises to held them expand the overseas markets by means of information technology. On the other hand, Ningbo has a strong atmosphere for service outsourcing. Several days ago, I attended the 2014 High-end Cross-border E-commerce Forum, where I learned that the Southern Business Zone of Yinzhou District will be built as an agglomeration area for cross-border E-commerce, which means that enterprises here can gain more policy dividend."
So far, both the executive volume and the offshore executive volume of the top four service outsourcing demonstration parks (the Software and Service Outsourcing Industrial Park of the National High-tech Zone, the Service Outsourcing Industrial Park of South Yinzhou New Town, the Service Outsourcing Industrial Park of Ningbo Economic and Technological Development Zone, and Jiangdong Service Outsourcing Demonstration Zone) account for about 70% of those in the whole city. Industrial agglomeration zones have taken shape, featuring such fields as software research and development, animation creativity, financial services, logistics services and industrial design. With the steady development of cross-border E-business in Ningbo, the brand of "service in Ningbo" has been everywhere, ranging from enterprises to individuals.
