Two new service outsourcing agglomeration areas to be built

With the opportunity of developing E-business construction, Ningbo is to accelerate the growth of the service outsourcing industry. It is learned from Ningbo Foreign Trade and Economic Cooperation Bureau that in addition to the existing four provincial or municipal service outsourcing demonstration areas respectively in Ningbo Economic and Technological Development Zone, Ningbo High-tech Zone, Yinzhou District and Jiangdong District, two service outsourcing agglomeration areas will be developed respectively in Haishu District and Jiangbei District, which aim to achieve an output value of 10 billion yuan within five years and become the provincial demonstration areas.
Recently, the General Office of Ningbo Municipal Government issued the "Plan for supporting the development of the service outsourcing agglomeration areas in Ningbo". According to the plan, the two agglomeration areas will be built in Haishu park and the core area of the Jiangbei park of Ningbo E-business City. To be specific, the Haishu service outsourcing agglomeration area will focus on such industries as E-business platform development, software R&D, product and technology R&D, medicine R&D and financial backstage services, while the Jiangbei agglomeration area will mainly develop such industries as the E-business platform development, logistic supply chain management and services, industrial design, integration of the customers' internal information system, and the business flow design for enterprises.
The development of the service outsourcing industry is essential to promote the economic structure adjustment and form the new support for industrial upgrading, the new highlight for foreign trade growth and the new engine for modern service industry. For that purpose, the plan requires the areas concerned to strengthen the guidance and investment support for the agglomeration areas by introducing some of the Top 100 global service outsourcing companies, the Top 50 domestic service outsourcing companies and the Fortune 500 enterprises, cultivating some leading local service outsourcing enterprises, and strengthening the public service platform construction of the agglomeration areas. By 2020, the executive volume of the service outsourcing business in the agglomeration areas will have exceeded 10 billion yuan, with over 250 service outsourcing enterprises and over 15000 people working in the industry.
Since the beginning of 2014, the "green engine role" of the service outsourcing industry has further developed. In the first 10 months, the execute volume of service outsourcing reached 11.81 billion yuan, up by 29.1% over the same period of last year, including a volume of $721 million for international service outsourcing, up by 50.7%. 86 service outsourcing enterprises were newly established, with a new addition of 3156 employees. By the end of October, there had been 1018 service outsourcing enterprises in Ningbo with 39800 employees. The agglomeration effect of the industry has been obvious, with the accumulative volume of the four existing demonstration areas accounting for over 60% of the total service outsourcing business in Ningbo.
