2014 Ningbo human resource report published

On Jan. 27, the Municipal Employment Service Administration published 2014 human resource report. It shows that there is a sharp increase for the immigrant labors of technique and high degree. However, since 2013, the total immigrant labor has been on the decline for the second straight year. While the overall quality of the labors in our city is increasing, there are problems of structure and aging for many employers.
It is mentioned that the total human resource of 2014 is 6.404 million. The total immigrant labors dropped by about 0.21 million people over 2013, with a decrease rate of 5.59%, the second straight year on the decline.
There return wave is a major cause for the drop of immigrant labor in recent years. With the improvement of working environment in the Central and Western area, many labors who have accumulated working experience returned to their hometown to work there or start up their own business, which prop up the local economy. Besides, their children have to go to school in their hometown. Some return to build houses. And some get married at home. All these account for the returning of the young and middle-aged immigrant labors. In addition, many traditional manufacturers began to replace human with robots and transform their industrial structure, which also attribute to the decline of the immigrant labors.

However, with the decline of the total immigrant labors. There is an increase of skilled workers. In 2014, among the immigrant labors, about 0.32 million people who have received at least technical secondary education or above, increasing by 9.87% over 2013.
It is a warning that the immigrant labors at the age of between 16 to 45 experienced a noticeable drop in the past three years. Human resource structure and aging are still the problems that many employers in our city have to face.
