Ningbo Achieves the Annual Target in Advance

Statistics from the Office of Three Rectification and One Demolition show that from January to August, 2014, Ningbo has finished the project of “three rectification” of 11840.9 square kilometers in total and has also demolished illegal construction of 10897.8 square kilometers, which means the annual target of the government has been achieved 4 months ahead of time.
Since 2014, Ningbo actively strengthens its efforts and sets a new annual target of rectifying construction of 6000 square kilometers and demolishing 10000 square kilometers on the basis of the fruit in 2013 which “finished the three-year target in only one year”. Meanwhile, Ningbo also starts activities of “zero illegal construction” in counties and towns in good condition so as to deepen the treatment of illegal construction in villages, around railways and pipelines in core area of the city.
A great deal of illegal constructed buildings were demolished which brought changes of environment treatment to people. According to the statistics, the illegal construction demolished reached 10897.8 square kilometers, among which 1535.5 were in Yinzhou District, 1297.8 in Yuyao and 1279.9 in Cixi. Currently, there have been 7 counties (districts) including Haishu, Jiangdong and Xiangshan, and 93 towns (streets) applying for the project of “zero illegal construction”.
Besides accelerating the work of “one demolition” and “zero illegal construction”, Ningbo also continually promotes the work of rectifying old residential area, in-the-city villages and old factory area. From January to August, Ningbo has accomplished “three rectification” of 11840.9 square kilometers in total, among which 1658.5 were in Zhenghai District, 1650.8 in Yuyao and 1633.8 in Cixi.
