Haishu to Become Core Zone of Fashion in Ningbo

Though hasn’t opened yet, 90% of the park “Qiyun 86”has been filled with companies; the number of newly registered companies in e-company park has reached 401, exceeding the sum of last year; the online sale of the commercial and trading companies above designated scale has increased 37% year-by-year... standing at the forefront of the “new normal” of development, Haishu District targets on fashion industry and pushes up accurately to make it merge into and develop together with the urban economy, striving to become the core zone of fashion in Ningbo.

“Give wings of intelligence to CBD, and give wings of fashion to historic city.” the provincial government has bought up the proposal of developing the seven industries represented by fashion industry. In response to this proposal, Haishu District says its new target is to become the core zone of fashion in Ningbo. It aims to become the forerunner and model of Ningbo fashion industry by strengthening fashion industry through aggregating fashion industry into industry parks, reintegrating industry chain, establishing new channels for fashion marketing and expanding fashion consumption zone, and establishing a fashion industry system centering on designing and marketing, with the symbol of self-owned brands.

Fashion industry is featured with strong creativity, strong ability of market controlling and high additional values. Making use of the advantage of solid foundations of the new industries like e-commerce, cultural creativity and IT economy, Haishu District brings new vitality to traditional industries through merging in fashion elements. Led by famous e-commerce brands like Peace Bird, Beyond, Paypal, Duonao holding company and cultural companies like“qiyun86”, “1844”, Haishu District now has 6 China Top Brands, 14 Zhejiang Top Brands and 57 Ningbo Top Brands. In 2014, cultural creative industries have achieved added values of 2.709 billion Yuan, taking up about 5.1% in GDP.

Facing the new individualized and experiential consumption trend, Haishu District moves further to expand fashion zone and building platforms for fashion marketing. Fashion consumption in Haishu is taking a new look. Using the internet, fashion consumption in Haishu has realized multi-way marketing. Famous fashion brands have multi-place retailing terminals like shoppes, sales floor and on-line shop in shopping centers, department stores, comprehensive markets and boutiques. Ningbo(International) E-commerce Park guides companies to use platforms like Weibo and Wechat in markrting, and explore export business in cross-border e-commerce.

In the future, Haishu District will further explore space for fashion consumption through transformation and developing. It plans to speed up adjusting the industry atmosphere and brands, enhance consumption level and scale, and build up a Tianyi Square- Heyi Avenue fashion consumption “circle”; establish an intelligence and fashion consumption “strips” centering on northwest commercial and trading zone of Ningbo and relying on Ningbo(International) E-commerce Park; and build fashion culture consumption “streets” and popular fashion consumption “spots” in historic streets and high-speed railway gateway zones.
