Tramcar line to be built in Yinzhou

On November 27, the signing ceremony for major investment projects in Yinzhou District was held, and six entity economic projects with a total investment of 15 billion yuan were signed to settle down in the district, covering such fields as rail transportation, equipment manufacturing, intelligent development and research platforms.
At the ceremony, Yinzhou District Government signed an agreement with CSR Zhuzhou Electric Locomotive Co. Ltd. to build the new-type tramcar operating line in downtown Yinzhou District. According to the plan, the two sides will set up a project construction platform to deal with the design, construction and trial of the line.
In addition to the tramcar project, the South Car Group will also increase funding to Ningbo base to build it into a whole-vehicle producing base for comprehensive rail transportation, as well as the biggest R & D and manufacturing base in Asian and Pacific area for super-capacitor and related products in 5 years time. The Ningbo base of the group will transform into a base integrating the production, R & D, overseas sales and maintenance and services for such comprehensive electrical equipments as traction system, power supply system, sensors and shield doors.
In the meanwhile, the South Car Group is actively promoting its strategic industrial settlement project. In five years, the R & D, testing, manufacturing and maintenance base for subway shield machines, mountain tunneling machines and tunneling equipments for new urban piping network will be completed to form a complete industrial chain base. It is hoped that in ten years the group's investment in its Ningbo base will exceed ten billion yuan and a 100 billion-yuan emerging industrial cluster will be achieved.
Mr. Tim manganello, CEO of Borg Warner Group, a global leading company in auto parts and one of the World’s top 500 Enterprises, also attended the signing ceremony. As the first solely foreign-owned factory by Borg Warner Group in China, the Borg Warner Ningbo Base (located in Yinzhou Investment and Venture Park) mainly manufactures turbo-charging system, Moss chain system and emission system. The group will make more investment to enlarge the factory.
