"Third parties" promote project introduction

With so many investment attraction promotion meeting, what is the best way to attract eminent enterprises? In June, with the help of the Hungtai Group from Taiwan, Jiangdong District has reached agreement for cooperation with four Taiwan enterprises, including IMEI Supermarket, CAS Taiwan Premium Agricultural Products Center and MS Fashion Hall. So far in 2014, Jiangdong District has identified 246 introduction projects from outside the city, with over 40% of them introduced with the help of a "third party", an intermediary consultancy or a business that has settled down.
"We have given priority to introducing the good investment environment through the ‘third parties' in attracting high-end projects." said a related official from Jiangdong District. "Nowadays, with so many promotion meetings everywhere, the enterprises are always at a loss to choose their targets. Words from the investment intermediary agencies or industrial peers will make a great difference to their choice."
By continuously optimizing the investment environment, Jiangdong District has gathered a large group of intermediary enterprises or agencies, establishing an "intermediary investment network". In the first 5 months of this year, a total of 206 intermediary service enterprises were introduced (enabling the total number of intermediary enterprises to exceed 1100), covering accounting, audit, legal affairs, land, real estate, science & technology, human resources and other fields. In June, the district government signed a comprehensive strategic cooperation agreement with CBRE, a leading real estate service consultancy as well as a Fortune 500 enterprise, in the hope of attracting quality projects by taking advantage of the CBRE's platform and resources.
Since 2010, Jiangdong District has established long-term cooperation with such prominent global investment consultancies as DTZ, CBRE and Colliers International, and succeeded in introducing branch institutes of nine Fortune 500 enterprises, such as Porsche Automotive Holding SE from Austria and Itochu from Japan. There have been ten foreign-funded projects with the investment of over US$100 million, and the total investment has exceeded US$2 billion, with an actual use of foreign capital reaching US$800 million.
Four Seasons Hotel and Hankyu Hanshin Department Stores have the intention to establish their branches in Ningbo, and the super luxurious W Hotel and Jiayu Hotel have signed business agreement with the district. Besides the intermediary consultancies, the enterprises that have settled down in the district have also become the major force for introducing investments and projects. By encouraging those enterprises to publicizing the excellent local investment environment, the district expects to attract more foreign investments and projects.
