Statistics from Ningbo National Tax Bureau show that in the first 11 months of 2014, the tax for car purchasing reached 3.397 billion yuan, up by 14.6% over the same period of last year. The accumulative amount of the taxed vehicles reached 236,600, up by 12.6% over the same period of last year.
According to the analysis by a related person from the bureau, since the end of 2019, with the end of the preferential policy for the tax on the vehicles of small output volume, the growth of purchase has declined, with the average growth rate of only 4.4% in the past three years. The growth of the purchase tax in 2014 indicates that the car purchasing has bounced back. Statistics show that the major force for growth is the increase of the private cars. In the first 11 months, the number of taxed private cars reached 221,200, up by 14.5%.
"On the one hand, with the popularization of the private car, the demand for a second car for families continues to rise. On the other hand, as the price of imported cars drops and more models show up, many people are motivated the upgrade their cars." said a person in charge from Ningbo National Tax Bureau. The SUV purchases grow by 34.5% and that of the imported cars up by 10.5%. In terms of output volume, the purchase of passenger cars with the output volume of below 2.0L grows rapidly, while that of the cars above 2.0L drops by 22.6%, which shows that people now prefer greener models. It is worth mentioning that the purchase of trucks, tractors and trailers increases by 50%, and the corresponding purchase tax grows by about 50 million yuan, indicating to a certain degree the economic recovery and the vigorous development of the logistics industry in Ningbo.
