Ningbo Bonded Zone vying to be the "first choice" for imported goods

On November 5th, Gregory Jankowski, board member and sales director of the Polish VanPur Beer Group, who came to China for the first time at China International Import Expo, came to Ningbo after the opening ceremony to discuss the establishment of the Polish National Pavilion at the Ningbo Import Commodity Center.  

Since 2018, Ningbo Bonded Zone, using the Expo as a major opening platform, make every effort to create a “favotie destination” for imported goods. At present, the import goods center in Ningbo Bonded Zone has more than 1,400 importers, with a total exhibition area of 280,000 square meters. They bring together nearly 50,000 kinds of imported consumer goods from more than 60 countries and regions around the world. The center has become the country's largest import entity market. In the first three quarters of 2019, Ningbo Bonded Zone achieved a total import value of consumer goods of 11.49 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 36.3%; sales of 16.33 billion yuan, an increase of 49.1%.

In the 2019 Expo, Ningbo Bonded Zone invited 9 overseas companies to participate in the exhibition, with an exhibition area of 771 square meters. At the same time, 950 people from 309 buyers were organized to purchase in Shanghai. They also participated in Ningbo's self-organized activities, attended special forums, and held on-site matchmaking to achieve precise investment promotion and matchmaking, transforming the traders of the Expo into investors
