Consumer market brisk on first day of the golden week

Ningbo saw a brisk consumer market on the first day of seven-day National Day holiday. On the afternoon of October 1, a large number of people were shopping, dining out or watching movies in such places as Tianyi Square, Wanda Plaza of Yinzhou District and the Century Oriental Plaze of Jiangdong District, bringing much passion to the malls, supermarkets and restaurants.
With a fine weather, October 1 witnessed the leaping sales volume in shopping malls and stores. At 2 o'clock in the afternoon, people saw wedding dress shows, car exhibitions and real estate sales everywhere at the Tianyi Square. In shopping malls, people were glad to find many goods on sale. Some people just enjoyed their leisure afternoon with a drink in a tea shop or snack bar. Statistics show that the women's shoes, gold jewelry and bedding are the top three categories with largest sales volume on October 1. The sales volume for the major shopping malls broke the record of 44.386 million yuan of two days before, especially for Ningbo 2nd Department Store, whose sales reached nearly 10 million yuan.
