Cross-border e-business of Ningbo Leads the World

According to the latest statistics from the China Ningbo Customs, by 12:00 July 12, 100,005 declaration forms of cross-border e-business imports were approved worth over 28.58 million yuan. 55,065 consumers from across China use the platform to buy imported goods. Such project on e-business has been run in several pilot cities.
Compared with online shopping, one that requires long waiting hours in receiving goods and has no guarantee in its post-purchase services and one that is suspected of tax evasion, cross-border e-business pilot project is well received by online shoppers by its smooth operation, swift logistics, nice services, inexpensive goods and authenticity. Since November 27, 2013 when the pilot project kicked off, Ningbo cross-border e-commerce platform has gained fame. More than 10,000 declaration forms of cross-border e-business imports were approved by the Customs. Every 10,000 approval takes fewer than 10 days at present from previous 45 days.
According to statistics, at present, 59 e-commerce businesses have been approved by the Customs, 21 of which have been on official operation. 2,500 kinds of goods were examined and approved by the Customs, over 1,000 of which are now on the shelf, covering goods for infants and moms, household medical equipment, food and drinks, kitchen and bath supplies and home appliances, etc.
