Provincial sports games kick off in Ningbo

The second edition of the Zhejiang Ecological Sports Games kicked off in Ningbo, East China's Zhejiang province on April 24, according to local media reports. As Zhejiang's largest comprehensive outdoor sports games, the event aims to facilitate the integration of fields including sports, tourism, agriculture and ecological resources.
Its first edition in 2020, which was held in six cities in the province, was attended by nearly 25,000 people. As the games' first stop this year, Ningbo hosted events including a dragon boat race, a kite competition and a 5-km mini-marathon. The event will next be held in six other venues in the province - Anji county, Tiantai county, Wenling city, Chun'an county, Deqing county and Xinchang county. The sporting event will feature competitions for swimming, kayaking, fishing, marathon and cycling.
