"When did the earliest porcelain appear?" "What is the difference between pottery and porcelain?" "Why did ancient tea be made into tea cakes?" "Who is on the celadon jar?" April 8, The Ningbo Museum's "Yue Kiln Celadon on Campus" course came to Yinzhou Huifeng Academy. Chen Ning, a senior lecturer who specially put on Hanfu, told the students the story of Yue Kiln celadon known as "Mother Porcelain".
Ningbo Museum is the forerunner of museum-school cooperation. In 2012, Songzhaoqiao Primary School was used as a pilot project to launch the "Campus Theme Courses" project to deeply explore the collection resources and select the "Yue Kiln Celadon" elements with great regional cultural connotation and characteristics. The resources are organically combined with school characteristics and student needs, and thematic and systematic rural education has been carried out. After 9 years of practice and exploration, it has established cooperative relations with many schools, the coverage has been continuously expanded, the curriculum development system has been improved day by day, the content and form have been innovated, and the library-school cooperation has continued to deepen.
In 2019, Ningbo Museum launched the "Ten Mile Red Makeup on Campus" course in all kindergartens and primary schools in Ningbo, which was widely welcomed and praised by teachers and students. In 2021, the course with the theme of "Yue Kiln Celadon" also received enthusiastic response.
The class on that day was warmly welcomed by class three of the fourth grade of Huifeng College. The children not only raised their hands to become Chen Ning's assistants, but also actively answered questions. The interactive atmosphere was quite enthusiastic. Under Chen Ning’s explanation, the students learned about the difference in firing temperature between pottery and porcelain, appreciated the lotus leaf zhantuo and other Yue kiln celadon in the collection of Ningbo Museum, tasted the taste of matcha, and had a pottery experience.
