Standard Chartered Released SMEs' Confidence Index in Ningbo

On December 7, the Standard Chartered released the SMEs' Confidence Index in Ningbo, which reflect the operating environment, the operations, investment orientation and financing needs of SMEs. It shows that the index for Chinese SMEs stands at 47.37, with the operation confidence index at 59.79 and the macro confidence index at 33.13. 
This was the first time that an overseas bank released the index for Chinese SMEs.
The indexes released yesterday showed that SMEs in China take a prudent attitude toward the economic operations of China and the confidence towards financing tends to be weak. But comparatively speaking, the operation confidence is stronger, indicating that most businesses are having stable production and sales.

"Zhejiang Pride-The Most Influential People for the Year 2011" Selection Begins

“Zhejiang Pride-The Year’s Most Influential Zhejiang People for the Year 2011” selection will unveil on December 10th . You can cast your votes for the candidate you like. 
Of the twenty candidates short-listed, two are from Ningbo. They are Ge Mingxia, a teacher from Ninghai, and Gong Xueming, a compassionate donator from Cixi. Ge Mingxia, a Chinese teacher in a Ninghai Middle School, has been dedicated to teaching for 31 years. The 40-year-old Gong Xueming has helped more than 100 needy students in Zhejiang, Guizhou, Sichuan and Yunnan provinces since 1996. In March 2008, he established his own charity office to aid those needy students and hired professionals to contact sponsors for students. 5,700 students have received aid owing to his help until now.
It is learned that ten out of 20 candidates will be selected as The Year’s Most Influential People.
There will be an online vote in the Pantianshou Square of Ninghai at 9:30am on December 12th. You can go there to vote, send your ballot to the organizer at Qianjiang Channel of Zhejiang Television, or cast your vote at http://iptv.zjol.com.cn/05iptv/2011pride/.

Spring Festival Shopping Fair to be held

The Municipal Bureau of Trade said on December 4 that the 23rd Ningbo Spring Festival Shopping Fair would be held in Ningbo Sports Center on January 1, 2012. It would last for 8 days.
It was learned that the 23rd Ningbo Spring Festival Shopping Fair was sponsored by the municipal Bureau of Trade as usual. The fair will cover an area of 15,000 square meters, with 45 booths for over 350 exhibitors. The commodities in the fair will range vegetable, meat, eggs, aquatic products and bean products from the municipal vegetable supply bases as well as over 3000 kinds of groceries that fall into 20 main categories. In order to present a top-quality fair, the fair access system will be adopted. Companies applying for the access will be evaluated strictly to keep away the fake commodities.
In addition,the Online Ningbo Spring Festival Shopping Fair has already been staged by 82.COM and 360il.COM from December 1. The online fair provides high quality vegetable. According to Gao Jianfeng, CEO of 82.COM, 82.COM have organized over 700 kinds of commodities for online purchasers, some are in short supply. The online orders reached over 200,000 Yuan in 4 days

Super apartment for the aged to be built in Jiangbei

A super apartment for the aged--Jiangbei Cixiao Garden was to be built, according to sources from Jiangbei on December 2.
The project of Jiangbei Cixiao Garden was listed in the major infrastructure plan for the twelfth Five-Year Plan period. Located in Sunhu Village of Hongtang Street, the project consists of the apartment for the aged, the nursing department, the medicare center, the leisure center and the service center, covering an area of 80,000 square meters, with its total investment of 450 million Yuan. With 2000 beds, it is expected to promote the integration of urban and rural endowment system and better meet the nursing demand of the aged people.
