“Zhejiang Pride-The Year’s Most Influential Zhejiang People for the Year 2011” selection will unveil on December 10th . You can cast your votes for the candidate you like.
Of the twenty candidates short-listed, two are from Ningbo. They are Ge Mingxia, a teacher from Ninghai, and Gong Xueming, a compassionate donator from Cixi. Ge Mingxia, a Chinese teacher in a Ninghai Middle School, has been dedicated to teaching for 31 years. The 40-year-old Gong Xueming has helped more than 100 needy students in Zhejiang, Guizhou, Sichuan and Yunnan provinces since 1996. In March 2008, he established his own charity office to aid those needy students and hired professionals to contact sponsors for students. 5,700 students have received aid owing to his help until now.
It is learned that ten out of 20 candidates will be selected as The Year’s Most Influential People.
There will be an online vote in the Pantianshou Square of Ninghai at 9:30am on December 12th. You can go there to vote, send your ballot to the organizer at Qianjiang Channel of Zhejiang Television, or cast your vote at http://iptv.zjol.com.cn/05iptv/2011pride/.

Event: Singapore Kakis Club Christmas Party 2011
The Singapore Kakis Club Christmas Party will be held on Saturday, 17th December 2011 at The Munich Brewery at Heyi Avenue from 6 until 10 p.m. There will be a buffet dinner spread of traditional Christmas delights and free flow of selected soft drinks and juices, and house-brewed beer. Not to be missed is the fantastic lucky draw prizes and subject to Jetstar’s confirmation (we’re almost there!), we could also be giving away free air tickets to Singapore!
There will also be our very own Santa Clause, Matt Galat, who will be all suited up in his Santa gear, which, I am sure will make our children’s day, as he personally presents little festive gifts to our little ones.
As for entertainment, the Exco team is preparing a surprise… just promise that you will support our performance with the clings and clangs of your plates, forks, knives and glasses, and most of all, please applaud loudly.. please J
