On the shore of the East China Sea, the automobile yard of Meixi Ro-Ro Terminal in Meishan Port District of Ningbo Zhoushan Port is a busy scene, where more than 1,600 domestic cars are boarded and headed to their destination Europe.
In the first half of this year, Ningbo Port exported more than 120,000 automobiles, with an export value of 11.74 billion yuan, an increase of 61.1% and 33.2% year-on-year respectively. On the track of new energy vehicles, ZEEKR is undoubtedly the “leader” of Ningbo. At the end of last month, ZEEKR’s 300,000th new car was officially delivered, marking a new milestone for the brand.
At present, ZEEKR has delivered more than 300,000 new vehicles in 33 months, setting a new record for the fastest delivery of pure electric vehicles.
Walking into the ZEEKR Smart Factory in Qianwan New Area, Ningbo, more than 700 fully automatic welding robots and more than 200 automatic guided vehicles are busy and orderly, and the production “progress bar” of the entire factory is full. It is reported that in July, the output of ZEEKR automobiles exceeded 10,000 units, and the daily factory output exceeded 300 vehicles, and the order volume exceeded the original annual production plan.
While leading the domestic new energy vehicle market in terms of sales, ZEEKR is accelerating its global layout. In the first half of this year, ZEEKR exported more than 800 ZEEKR 001 and ZEEKR X to the European market, with sales of more than 350 million yuan, and is expected to enter Southeast Asia, the Middle East, Latin America and other markets by the end of this year.
Not only are OEMs moving towards the “new”, but Ningbo parts industry enterprises are also taking the initiative to meet the industry outlet and actively promote the upgrading and iteration of auto parts supporting products.

According to the data, in the first five months of this year, the added value of Ningbo’s energy-saving and new energy vehicle industry chain increased by 23.2% year-on-year, and the growth rate was the first among the top ten landmark industrial chains in Ningbo. There are 106 new energy vehicle projects under construction in Ningbo with a total investment of nearly 73 billion yuan.
According to incomplete statistics, there are currently more than 5,000 affiliated enterprises in Ningbo’s new energy automobile industry, and about 50% of the auto parts companies provide supporting facilities for new energy vehicles, and the products cover all categories such as fuel vehicle powertrain, “three electrics” system (battery, electric drive, and electronic control). Ningbo has formed a high-end parts development block with Yinzhou, Ninghai and Yuyao as the core and a vehicle production base with Hangzhou Bay New Area and Beilun as the core, and actively plays the role of leading enterprises in attracting investment to build a supporting auto parts industrial park.
