2013 Ningbo Shopping Festival to be held

After nearly a year of preparation, 2013 Ningbo Shopping Festival will be held on July 12. On July 10, Ningbo Municipal Government held a news conference to announce the themes of the activities of the festival. With all the six districts involved in the organization of the festival, and the characteristics of being internationalized, branding, market-oriented and intelligentized, this year’s session will consist of 224 activities. As businesses offer significant concessions, consumers are sure to enjoy the largest favor in shopping, tourism, and leisure.
With so many businesses involved in the festival, and so many activities, the festival demonstrates such distinctive characteristics as being more fashionable, more culturally profound, and more Ningbo-featured.
At the press conference, Ningbo Tourism Bureau released the printed coupons for this year’s shopping festival. Over 70 scenic spots, hotels and catering enterprises offer their discount coupons. Citizens can log on www.gotoningbo.com or scan the official 2-dimensional barcode to get the coupons, or obtain the paper coupons from Night City on River and the Tourism and Shopping Center of Shanjing Outlet Plaza.
From July 12 to 28, the financial sectors will provide 500 gold bars and a 250,000-yuan car as rewards for the consumers using their bank cards. All the squares, departments and specialty shops will give discounts, while supermarkets and convenience chains will carry out sales and redemption. In the meanwhile, such activities as “convenient vegetable baskets” will also be launched during the festival period.
