Benin Has Ningbo as its "Big Base"

Good friends, good brothers, good partners, come and meet.

On September 2, the hottest foreign affairs news was Benin President Talon's visit to China, and the two heads of state announced the establishment of a strategic partnership between China and Bangladesh.

This is Talon's third visit to China since he came to power. What is less well known is that as early as September 2016, when Talon visited China for the first time, Zhejiang Tianshi International Co., Ltd., a Ningbo enterprise, was invited as the only Chinese private enterprise to visit Talon.

Last year, China and Benin celebrated the 50th anniversary of the resumption of diplomatic relations. Ningbo and Cotonou, the economic capital of Benin, celebrated their 10th anniversary.

The Benin Center, full name is Benin-China Economic and Trade Development Center, is a government-to-government cooperation project between China and Belgium, which was put into use in 2008. This is the 11th national cooperation center established by China in Africa and the first national center operated by a private enterprise.

TC International is well aware that attracting foreign investment is the main channel for Benin's economic development.

Therefore, at the end of 2008, on the day of the completion of the Benin Center, this group of anxious Ningbo people held the first Benin (West Africa) China Commodities Exhibition to connect the economic and trade between China and Bangladesh and drink Beninese agricultural products.

In April 2012, Ningbo Municipal Bureau of Commerce set up the "Benin Chinese Brand Exhibition and Sales Center" in Benin, and awarded the Benin Center the "Ningbo Micro, Small and Medium-sized Enterprises Promotion Service Platform";

In June of the same year, First Deputy Mayor of Cotonou, Lehadi Soglo, visited Ningbo and signed a sister city agreement with Ningbo;

In August, she traveled to Benin to organize the 13th Benin (West Africa) China Commodities Exhibition held by the Benin Center. This is the first offline restart of the exhibition in four years, with a total of 68 companies participating, including as many as 37 Ningbo enterprises.

Over the past 10 years, the Benin Center has provided consulting services for 1,017 Chinese and Chinese enterprises in Benin, provided legal, financial and employee management assistance for more than 30 Chinese enterprises to invest in Benin, and helped Benin export 150,000 tons of agricultural products, amounting to more than 200 million US dollars.
