GDP to increase by 8.5% in 2014

According to what Acting Mayor Lu Ziyue said in the government work report on January 7, in 2013, Ningbo realized a regional GDP of 710 billion yuan, up by over 8%. The local fiscal revenue stood at 79.24 billion yuan, up by 9.2%. The per capita disposable income of urban residents reached 41,700 yuan, and the per capita net income of rural residents reached 20,500 yuan, up by over 10% and about 11% respectively. The CPI increased by 2.2%.
By taking into consideration of the comprehensive development trend and work focus, the government work report proposed that in 2014 the major anticipated goals for economic and social development are as follows: the regional GDP rises by 8.5%, the local fiscal revenue up by 8%, the per capita disposable income of urban residents and the per capita net income of rural residents up by 10% and 11% respectively; another 128,000 people will be employed, and the urban registered unemployment rate will be under 3.6%. The CPI will be about 103.5% and the state and provincial requirements will be met for energy conservation and emission reduction.
