China Travel on the Sea Year opened in Xiangshan

In the coming years, Ningbo is to turn itself into an important destination in the Changjiang River Delta for travel on the sea. On the morning of March 9, the program China Travel on the Sea Year 2013 opened in Shipu Town, Xiangshan, and thus started the tourism program of the year.
This year, National Tourism Administration has set the theme of the tourism for the year as "Year of Travel on the Sea". In Ningbo, this theme is modified to be "Beautiful Ningbo and Beautiful Seas", and with this theme, Ningbo aims to promote new tourist and recreational programs of travels on the seas: fishing on the sea, travel by cruisers, fishery for recreation, water sports, and sea food services. The city will further integrate sea traveling resources, strengthening promoting tourist products and programs with distinctive features and Ningbo more famous in the Changjiang River Delta as a destination of travel on the sea.
Based on public opinions, Ningbo will announce a number of recommended tourist products with distinctive features, including Ningbo Top Ten Travel-on-the-Sea Spots for 2013, Ningbo Top 10 Featured Seafood Stalls for 2013 and Ningbo Top 10 Seafood Banquets. Together with these programs, Ningbo will organize 100 photographers to visit the coastal areas of Xiangshan County so that they can use their cameras to display the charm of the seas of Xiangshan and Ningbo.
