Ningbo team won first place in the China Russia Mongolia football match
On June 3rd, on the occasion of City Day in Irkutsk, Russia, the Ningbo football team was invited to Russia to participate in the China Russia Mongolia football match and won the first place.
This competition is one of the main events of City Day in Irkutsk, Russia. Ningbo’s representative team consisting of 5 players selected by the Ningbo Football Association and 8 local Chinese students competed with the representatives from Irkutsk, Russia and Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia.
In the first game, Irkutsk defeated Ulaanbaatar 3-2. In the second match that followed, Ningbo team drew 2-2 with Irkutsk team. In the third game, Ningbo team defeated Ulaanbaatar team 5-1 and won the first place in the event.
The game coincided with a rainy day, and the players from China, Russia, and Mongolia, full of energy, had a tense and enthusiastic competition on site. The players of the Ningbo team, despite difficulties such as limited field adaptation time and short player adjustment time, fought tactically and tenaciously with high spirit and superb skills.
It is learned that Ningbo established friendly relations with Irkutsk City in Russia in 2012 and Ulaanbaatar City in Mongolia in 2017. In recent years, friendly exchanges in various fields between the two cities have been further strengthened. Last year, China and Russia launched the 2022-2023 China Russia Sports Exchange Year. Through rich sports and cultural exchanges, Ningbo further enhances mutual understanding and friendship between the two peoples, laying a solid foundation for promoting in-depth exchanges and cooperation
