Smart City Expo China 2015 to be held on September 11

It is learned from Ningbo Smart City Office on August 28 that the 5th China(Ningbo) Smart City Technology and Application Product Expo will be held from September 11 to 13 in Ningbo International Convention and Exhibition Center. The theme of this year’s expo is Gathering Smart Application, Building A Smart City.
It’s been the fifth year since Ningbo held the first expo of this kind. It has made a leapfrog development from the previous conceptual exhibition to technology exhibition to this year’s industry exhibition.
This year’s Smart City Expo will not only meet the demand of Ningbo’s development but also the new requirements against the new background of Made in China 2025, Internet plus and Information Economy to accelerate the research and application of new information technology including cloud computing, big data and internet of things. All these serve to enhance the city’s operating efficiency, people’s life quality and economic development.
An employee from Ningbo Smart City Office told us that this year’s expo will be held in Ningbo International Convention and Exhibition Center with 1,100 standard stands and nearly 300 enterprises. It is learned that the expo is co-hosted by Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, State Administration of Press, Publication, Radio, Film and Television, Chinese Academy of Science, Chinese Academy of Engineering, China Telecom, China Mobile, China Unicom and Zhejiang Provincial People’s Government, organized by Ningbo Municipal People’s Government, and supported by China Aerospace Science and Industry Corp and China Electronics Technology Group Corporation. There are four parts constituting this year’s expo: Display and Demonstration, Thematic Forum, the First China(Ningbo) Maker Entrepreneurship Competition(Final) and Project Signing.
