Ningbo's first solar power plant put into operation

Ningbo's first solar photovoltaic power plant was put into operation in Ninghai, said Ninghai Power Supply Bureau last Sunday. As a solar project launched by Ningbo Risen Energy Co., Ltd., the solar photovoltaic power plant was incorporated into the city's existing grid system through a 10-kV power line. Its annual capacity of 100 million kilowatt-hours will meet the annual electricity needs of 400 households.
The solar project was invested by Ningbo Risen Energy Co., Ltd. with a total investment of 30 million yuan. The company was the first Ningbo company who focuses on the development and research of photovoltaic energy. The company built a self-developed power plant to meet its own power demand and launched a pilot program of building a polar power plant for the public use of Internet. The technicians of the company installed 5,570 solar panels with a total area of 7400 square meters on the roof of Ninghai Logistics Center located in Taoyuan Street.
According to Qiu Chengfeng, deputy general manager of the company, their solar power project has a total capacity of 1000 kW, and its annual capacity will reach 1 million kwh after putting into operation through a 10 kV power line, which can meet the annual electricity needs of 400 households.
