Ningbo Olympic Sports Center under construction

The on-site commencement of Ningbo Olympic Sports Center was held on the morning of December 29. As one of the major projects concerning people's livelihood, the project, consisting of a sports field, three sports halls and a center, has been listed as a major government project of the three-year action plan. The first phase of the project will include the three halls and a park, that is, the comprehensive sports hall, the swimming pool, the comprehensive training hall and the sports park, and it is scheduled to be completed put into operation in 2017.
The Olympic Sports Center is located at the Yaojiang River New Zone, with the northern elevated expressway to the north, the airport elevated expressway to the east, the corner of Guangyuan Road and the northern exit of the Shenyang-Haikou Freeway to the west, and Yinzhou District to the south connected by the Xihong Bridge (still under construction).
The site has been chosen for its convenient traffic conditions. The center is located at the northwest portal, the nearest area to Yaojiang River on the northern bank of it. Meanwhile, the Metro Line No.4 has a station at the center, and the bus station will be built near the center, making it more convenient for the citizens to go to the sports center.
