Ningbo listed in Happiest Cities of China for 2012

The recently closed 2012 election of the Happiest Cities of China had its awarding ceremony in Beijing on December 30.

The election of Happiest Cities of China was made on the conditions of the people's livelihood, the ecological conditions, and public services that concern the people's life and the development of cities, involving 22 indicators of people's relationship, the traffic conditions, the medical conditions, education, price of houses and price level and so on.

The organization committee announced that the following 20 cities win the honor. 10 prefecture-level and above cities: Huangzhou, Chengdu, Ningbo, Nanjing, Tianjin, Changchun, Wuxi, Changsha, Xi'an, and Nantong. Of the 10 cities, Huangzhou, Chengdu, Ningbo and Nanjing win the Outstanding Achievement

Award; Huangzhou and Chengdu win the Most Beautiful and Happiest City Award; Ningbo wins the Happiest Livelihood Award; Nanjing wins the Best Living Condition Award; Changchun wins the Best Satisfactory Public Service Award; Tianjin, a third-year winner, wins the Happiest City Golden Award; Changsha wins the Most Happiest City of China; Wuxi and Xi'an win the Happiest City Special Award; Nantong wins the Happiest City Award.

The county-level cities are the following 10 cities: Zhangjiagang of Jiangsu, Taicang of Jiangsu, Yuyao of Zhejiang, Yongchuan of Chongqing, Cixi of Zhejiang, Fuyang of Zhejiang, Haicheng of Liaoning, Changsha County of Hunan, Shuangliu of Sichuan, and Gongyi of Henan. Of the 10 cities, Taicang of Jiangsu, winner of the award for a third time, wins the Happiest City of China and the Golden Award of the Happiest City of China. Yuyao of Zhejiang wins both the Happiest City Award and the Best Livelihood Award. Haicheng of Liaoning wins the Happiest City Special Award.
