2000 Exhibiting Enterprises Got Orders worth 586 Million US Dollars

The Fourteenth ZJITS, the Eleventh CICGF and the Fifth China Opening-up Forum were concluded on June 11. Over 2000 exhibiting companies participated in the two Fairs and the Forum and gained orders worth 586 million US Dollars. 11 cities of Zhejiang Province signed 107 overseas investment projects with a total investment of 4.7 billion US Dollars.
According to the statistics from the organizing committee, 10,158 overseas merchants including senior executives from over 60 World Top 500 Companies attended the Two Fairs and One Forum.
The ZJITS arranged 21 cooperative negotiation conferences in 3 days and a half. The Zhejiang investment partnership symposium attracted 429 overseas enterprises and institutions and 1618 Zhejiang enterprises and signed 285 overseas talent introduction contracts. 11 cities of Zhejiang Province signed 107 overseas investment projects with a total investment of 4.7 billion US Dollars.
The CICGF attracted enterprises from 7 countries and regions which exhibited over 100,000 kinds of commodities. Except for Zhejiang enterprises, enterprises from 10 provinces, cities and autonomous regions of China participated in the Fair. 12 large international purchasers including Wal-Mart, Auchan, Tesco and LOTTE Mart came to the Fair for procurement. The total turnover of the fair reached 586 million US Dollars, among which, Household Products & Gifts ranked first with a total order of 248 billion Yuan, Home Appliances & Electronics and Household Textiles & Garments ranked second and third with a total order of 230 million US Dollars and 73 million US Dollars respectively. The largest import markets were ASEAN, Hong Kong and Taiwan.
At the forum, several experts proposed their suggestions on opening-up in the new era under the main lines of reform and opening-up, bring in enlightenment for the development of local enterprises. 900 people attended the forum. In addition, the list of the 2012 top 500 foreign trade enterprises of China was released, further enhancing the renown of Ningbo.
