Green belt will be built on the 6 banks of 3 rivers in 2016
Since ancient time, there is a saying in Ningbo that “there are 3 rivers, six man-made rivers in Ningbo, with a lake in the center”. The rivers and banks are the advantageous natural resources of Ningbo. The “3 rivers and 6 banks” riverside leisure belt project, since its construction in 2011, has attracted wide public attention.
On July 23rd, on the press conference held by the municipal government, the spokesman Ye Jisong, released the construction progress of the project. At present, a green space along the western bank of Yaojiang river and the banks of Fenghua river, with distinctive themes and unique features, has been created, which is now serving as a good place for exercises and leisure.
As planned, the riverside leisure belt will be completed by the end of 2016 when the 16 kilometers’ green belt will connect the banks of Yaojiang river, Yongjiang river and Fenghua river.
Of course, when it comes to 3 rivers and 6 banks, people are most interested in the Xinjiang Bridge which is being built now.
According to Ye Jisong, 30% of the Xinjiang Bridge rebuilding has been completed. “It is estimated that it will be completed by July 2015. At the beginning of 2016, the temporary bridge of Xinjiang Bridge will be removed,” he said. At that time, the traffic system with a “井” in the Sanjiangkou area will be formed, which will greatly improve the traffic condition of Sanjiangkou area.
