Great increase of imported beer from Germany

According to updated statistics from Ningbo Customs, in the first half this year, Ningbo imported 1.2 million liters of beer, 8.9 times the amount in the same period in 2012. The import was mainly from Germany and Italy. The import from Germany reached 1,009,000 liters, 1.6 times the amount year on year. The import from Italy reached 150,000 liters, 2 times the amount year on year.
In the first six months, the import of wine via Ningbo Customs reached 6,252,000 liters, dropping by 3% year on year. EU is the major import source, and from EU, the import reached 5,113,000 liters, dropping by 3.3% year on year. Compared with the European market, import from Australia, USA and Canada, countries with lower tariff, is increasing. In the first half of this year, the import of wine from Australia, USA and Canada reached 451,000 liters, 82,000 liters and 34,000 liters.
