Food Expo 2012 to be held in the mid-November

The China Food Expo 2012 is to be held at Ningbo International Convention and Exhibition Center from Nov.15 to 18. The promotion and invitational work has been going well underway and most of the booths have been booked, as learned from the preparatory meeting held on Sept. 25.
This year’s expo is to be held in eight exhibition halls, including the six current halls of the Comprehensive Hall, Imported Foods Hall, two halls of Zhejiang foods, Ningbo Hall and Food Machinery Hall, and two perennial halls, with the exhibition area totaling 70,000 m2 and 3,500 standard booths. Currently, more than 80 percent of the booths have already been booked by exhibitors.
Judging from the booking, this year sees a bigger proportion of imported foods. More than half of the exhibits in the Comprehensive Hall will be from Taiwan. The overseas hall has the sections of milk powder, beer, and wine. Besides, there are two perennial halls exhibiting imported foods all the year long. The imported foods at this year’s expo will exceed 40 percent.
