The 3rd Cross-Straits Internet and Intelligence Service Industry Development (Xikou) Forum was held in Fenghua on September 12, sponsored by the Taiwan IOT Alliance, the Chinese Outstanding Youth Council for Promoting Economic and Trade Development and the government of Fenghua and hosted by the Fenghua Economy and Information Bureau. Nearly 200 people including members of the Taiwan IOT Alliance, representatives from Fenghua, and industry guests attended the forum. The experts talked about smart healthcare, smart security, smart agriculture, smart tourism, smart business, smart creative and cultural industry, and the core technology and solutions for the application of the IOT.
At the forum, the government, the alliance and the council signed the three-party cooperation agreement to jointly promote the construction of maker town. Representatives of the Taiwan Affairs Office of Ningbo, Ningbo Human Resources and Social Security Bureau, and the maker town of Fenghua unveiled the plaque for the Taiwanese college students’ practicum and startup base.
It is reported that the three parties will cooperate on building a maker incubator in Yuelin Street of the town, covering totally 3.5 square kilometers. By providing multi services like daily office, investment and financing docking, team integration, media information, entrepreneurship training and leisure fitness for Taiwanese makers, the incubator strives to create a complete business ecology to establish the brand and attract outstanding Taiwanese young makers.
What’s more, the three parties will jointly set up a venture capital fund of 500 million yuan, with the initial sum of 100 million yuan. The fund will be operated and managed by a Taiwan company. It is said the fund will be used to support startup projects settled in the incubator.
