Emerging Industrial Cluster Area Yields High

Up to August, 34 enterprises have settled in the emerging industries cluster area in a period of less than 3.5 years, with the speed unparalleled among counterpart development zones in Zhejiang Province. Among them, 30 are industrial projects with the total investment of 6.7 billion. It is expected that the output is to reach 24 billion yuan, which means 15.58 million yuan per Chinese mu.
The emerging industries cluster area is aimed to become a demonstration area among emerging industries around the Hangzhou Bay, a new highland of Industrial transformation and upgrading, an agglomeration area of high-tech talents as well as a pilot area of new-type development management system. It is also to develop the modern industrial system called “4+X”. It has done a great job in quality development and the high yield per unit of land area. It put theories into practice and changed wisdom into strength. Therefore, this developing miracle was possible because of the benchmarking power of transformation and upgrading and wisdom of government-enterprise linkage, resources integration and innovation.
The first batch of projects completed, such as Cixing Bearing, Zhongda Motor, Jiangchen Automation, have exerted the industrial charm, development potential and investor confidence of “ high tech, high growth” under the high-end equipment manufacturing industry ‘s new normalcy.
In the last five years, Cixing Bearing has achieved transformation and upgrade twice. At first, it dealt with plain bearings, and then it shifted to bearings for luxury cars, and now it produces combined bearings for luxury cars. Right now, it is competing against the world-renowned brands of bearing and it is expected to achieve an annual sales increase of more than 40% for three consecutive years. And the second transformation and upgrading was carried out in the emerging industries cluster area. Eight standardized, intellectualized and automatic workshops have been put into production and going smoothly Because of that, Cixing Company ranking in the industry moved forward to No. 6 from No. 8 last year. And the new factory scale is planned to achieve an output of more than 1 billion yuan next year.
• To forge new development mode in the cluster area, Zhongda takes production of core parts for intellectualized and automatic equipment and offering design schemes” as its industrial orientation, aiming at industrial leaders in Japan and Germany. By combining three industrial chains: motor drive, small and special electric motors and precision reducers, it has realized the shift from domestic substitution to international substitution. This year, it has maintained sales increase of 12 % for the first 8 months while other domestic counterparts experienced a sharp fall in sales. There are two highlights: the sales increase of the high precision servo planetary reducer for automatic industry reached up to 50%, with the sales accounting for 1\6; the products will be upgraded from low end to high end, to achieve an export growth of more than 40%, the sales accounting for 20%.
With a new starting point, new technology and new products, the cluster area has contributed to the Robot Dream of Cixing Bearing, Zhongde Motor and Jiangchen Automation. Cixing’s special bearings for industrial robots have been put on the list of national 863 Project; it is the country’s only private company engaged in production of core parts of industrial robots listed in the Project.
